Surfer: the best all-in-one SEO supertool!

I love how easy the tool is to use: navigation is simple and striking, content creation is a breeze, and the ability to analyze critical keyword and competitive data is unprecedented!

Cons:

I wish there was more flexibility with the payment options, to pick and choose the exact amount of NLP, content editor queries etc...that I specifically need. I'm on the basic plan, but as it stands, I don't need 25 content editor queries per month, but the next lowest option (Hobby) only has 5 content editor queries, which is much too small. Ultimately, the plans would be better if it was more customisable.

Reasons for choosing Surfer

Surfer was the cheapest and most accessible option, and I love how easy the content editor is to use. It's also simplified in the fact that it's got everything you need to write great content, without any of the technical SEO that a content editor wouldn't need to use.

The best SEO tool for copywriters and SEO professionals.

I am using Surfer to no only figure out what I need to rank my pages for the keywords I need, but I am using it to show the client what kind of service we will provide them and that alone closes the sale. ;) Show the tool to the client. They will freak and say YES!

I loved the fact that it showed so much data that I could customize to the project I was working on. It is like a laser-like targeting tool that changes the playing field for finding opportunities to rank your content.

Cons:

I do not like not having NLP credits. The NLP credits are not unlimited and you wish they were. ;)

Because it used NLP in a better way than just competitive ranking factors.

Because Surfer was way easier to use.

It's a helpful tool, but does seem to focus too much on AI enhancements which carries risk in Google search results if it detects AI content.

Cons:

Seems to focus more on improving and finding opportunities without being able to see where you're performing well already and therefore the overall performance

Occasionally buggy. But this seems to be less frequent as time goes on.

Surfer - The app is great, but wait until you need support - it's out of this world!

As noted previously, it is a hands on company. I have had interactions with support and the [sensitive content hidden] himself and always received stellar customer service combined with answers that wind up teaching me more than just answering my question. I can't say enough good things about joining their Facebook group - the knowledge in there is worth the price of the product.

Surfer's AI has continuously grown, learned, adapted, and been tweaked to make it better. Every time I use it, I notice something new - little things, like formatting or it getting rid of words like "delve." Or sometimes, it's bigger things, like the Auto-Optimize feature (which is scary good).

Cons:

I think everything I've ever "not liked" about it was really my own issue of not understanding the product or how to use it properly. When I first started I just sort of dove in and started clicking buttons and guessing what they did. Trial and error. So there were some errors - but they were my own. When there is a con, the Facebook user group is full of people with far more knowledge then me - including programmers and the [sensitive content hidden], who has personally answered in depth questions, far exceeding what I needed. Probably some of the best support I have ever seen on a product, so for me, there really is no "like least" because when there is, there is always someone available to help solve that problem for you.

Pros:

Surfer is a great holistic SEO tool. I am a heavy user of Ahrefs and use it for content & keyword research. Surfer is my go-to tool for entity optimisation. However, apart from entity optimisation, its keyword research tool, topical map creation & audits are equally robust as well. I am anyways planning to move out of Ahrefs and moving to Surfer fully. Finally, the support team is absolutely amazing. I have been using Surfer for ~2 years now and I can confidently say that their support is unparalleled.

Cons:

The only con I see is the pricing. We're on the enterprise plan, so it's still kind of affordable for us. But for entry level users, the pricing can be prohibitive.

Thinking about Surfer? Get it!

It has been great so far. We have not used much of the AI aspects of Surfer as the content that we do have we are just trying to bring more value to our customers with.

The ability to give me guidance on what is ranking in the SERP and the changes that need to happen to have content rank in Google.

Cons:

That it is run on a credit system and not just a flat fee for use of the product. It would be helpful if that was a option.

The go-to all-in-one SEO platform

Surfer has become the go-to all-in-one SEO platform that my team and I love using. The Content Editor, now with Topic coverage, is super useful and really makes a difference. As the team lead, I fell in love with the Topical Maps, which helps me determine what is most valuable for the website.
