About ABC Glofox

ABC Glofox is a gym and studio management and app solution, designed to cater to the unique needs of gyms, fitness, yoga, dance, pilates and martial arts studios. The solution helps gym and studio owners improve admin tasks such as class scheduling, member management, billing, reporting and check-in.

ABC Glofox allows gym and studio owners to drive bookings through a dedicated Member App on iOS and Android devices. Members can book and pay for classes, courses, appointments and memberships through a mobile app and a website portal. The same portal can be connected to the social media pages, so members can book and pay straight from the social media accounts. The solution helps operators keep track of schedules, memberships, bookings and payments.

ABC Glofox provides a reporting feature that helps managers review key metrics such as membership sales, attendance rates and failed payments. Operators can also keep their members engaged and inform them of changes through app notifications and messages.

First steps into new business made easier with GloFox

Sales, leads, marketing, basically everything I need to operate a boutique studio. I like the waiting list feature and how easy it looks to make it both branded to my company and tailored to exactly what me and my clients need. I’m looking forward to starting the build process to see how it goes. The experience so far has been all good Fromm y perspective.

Pros:

Ease of Communication, with regular follow ups from sales team. Very friendly and helpful, giving lots of experienced based tips to help me get started. Seems to be simple system to operate, which is important for me as I’m not very technical with IT. I liked that we could discuss everything about the product and there wasn’t any pressure to go with GloFox. It just simply was the best value product for what I need. The app looks great, and I think going for the Gold option from the outset was the best idea, as it means my clients can be used to using the app right from the start, rather than just using web services initially and then having to change.

Cons:

Nothing really, only thing I have noted is no compatibility with Spivi - which won’t be an issue but just something I’ll need to sort separately. I can’t see too many downsides at the moment, everything so far from first contact to agreeing to partner has been flawless.

Definitely recommend. Great end-use experience

Very smooth onboarding. But very labour intensive manually transferring booked classes over from the old booking system

Pros:

Super easy end-user experience. Owner dashboard also pretty simple to use. Onboarding has been very smooth with quick bespoke app developed.

Cons:

App showing 4 weeks in advance (as per settings), web portal showing 2 and half months in advance. Struggling with support to fix it.

Reasons for switching to ABC Glofox

Needed a better user experience. Also needed a system which was capable of capturing data easily to allow trainers to see and review.

Very happy with this product and service.

Apps are the way to go. Very professional and easy to use. Glofox provides detailed accounting reports which makes my job easier. As I am not the most technically inept I use the customer care team quite a bit and I have always found them very diligent and fast to act on my queries. It's great to have so many tools available via Glofox but also have that knowledge that there is a team behind the software to help when needed.

Customer service was readily available and went above & beyond to support my needs and the development of my app and software.

Cons:

I see some negative reviews online however, I've yet to run into any cons with Glofox.

GloFox - Brilliant the way to go

My onboarding manager Louise. I’ll be honest I found Glofox itself a bit rocky, as from the start I felt very miss sold however, Louise restored to faith in the company.

Cons:

The hidden fees throughout from the cost not including VAT to the costs associated with amplify and so on.

It was long but [sensitive content hidden] made it easy and nice.. she supported me all the time and was always there to help and support and explain all I need to learn. She the implementation much easier and helped even in her vacation.

Expected a lot more

This is the first gym management tool we have used, so I can't compare to past experiences. But Glofox is not robust, they are not solving the problems, and I kinda regret having chosen them.Very important point: integration with 3rd parties (such as mailchimp) is not good, and as they are developing their own thing, it will never be.

We like the user front end, the way it looks in our web. Not the best UX though, only one customer has been able to find how to cancel a class. The rest just report "I can't cancel".

Cons:

Language bugs all around (we use spanish front end) , all reported, barely fixed so far. A lot of hard coded stuff we can't fix using the tool they provide for custom copy. A lot of copy edit was needed for spanish.Many bugs found and reported, also suggestions for UX we have made... they may just be focused in that new service "amplify" and now finishing the core product.

We liked Glofox web front end and we thought or were told it would fit all our needs. The price was also a factor at first, but Mindbody at the end did an offer for the first year that was very competitive.

Good Overall Product

GloFox worked just fine for what our facility needed at the time. I wasn't looking to switch platforms.

Pros:

The software was pretty easy to learn how to use and to apply it. Managing the memberships and their payments was easy.

Cons:

I understand that these things cost money, obviously. But we ended up switching to a platform that put the cost on the members in a fair and balanced way.
