A comprehensive cloud vault platform.

Overall we are very satisfied. We solve three main problems are solved by using Akeyless: Ensuring that only authorized users can access sensitive applications, systems and data - our compliance department loves this. Automating the process of granting access to workloads based on predefined criteria - this is just good practice and helps us limit any security exposure. Providing an audit trail of all activity for compliance purposes - again, our compliance department loves this.

Pros:

There are a few things that I like best about the Akeyless platform. Firstly, I really like the ease of use and the flexibility that the vault provides. I can easily create and manage secrets, and I can easily access them when I need to, regardless of my device choice or environment. Additionally, I like the security features that the vault provides. I feel confident that my secrets are safe and secure when I store them in the vault, and our compliance department is confident too thanks to the audit trail.

Cons:

How long it took to onboard. It wasn’t slow, but it took a couple of sessions to ensure our entire team was familiar with the user experience as Akeyless was completely new to them. More comprehensive documentation would have been helpful here.

Vault simplifies and consolidates the management of secrets

Overall, Akeyless Vault is a good choice for a secure cloud-based secrets manager. I have used other solutions in the market but after using Akeyless, it’s definitely my first choice.

Pros:

Frankly, there are many, but I will pick the most important:The scalability works for organizations of all sizes, so it can be used for a small team or a large enterprise. Personally, I’ve used it in both a startup and corporate environment, and the performance and cost scales up and down as needed. Flexibility: In my experience, the vault supports everything that we have thrown at it. Static and dynamic secrets, automatic rotation of secrets, redundancy across multiple geolocations to minimize downtime, and far more. I’ve yet to complain about an unsupported feature. The audit trail: Akeyless Vault provides detailed logs of all access, making it easy to track and audit secret usage. It’s very simple to keep track of thanks to their alert system.

Cons:

I think there is just one thing to mention here. More documentation types should be provided. Our team is composed of visual, oral and tactile learners and we noticed that there was a lack of visual documentation support.

It's become a key part of our devops environment.

Akeyless Vault provides a secure and scalable way to manage secrets, such as sensitive data like passwords and encryption keys. Its features, such as dynamic secrets and data encryption, help to protect against unauthorized access and ensure that sensitive information is kept safe. This is important for our business as we deal with plenty of sensitive client information. Additionally, I appreciate the flexibility and extensibility of Vault, which allows it to be integrated into a wide range of environments and workflows, specifically Kubernetes.

Provides a secure and scalable way to manage secrets. We began with a handful of secrets and now manage thousands, on behalf of our clients.Features like dynamic secrets and data encryption help protect against unauthorized access while not impeding legitimate access.Its flexible and extensible, allowing for integration into a wide range of environments and workflows.

Cons:

It took me a moment or too to acclimatize to using a secrets management tool in my workflow as this was my first time. More documentation would smooth this process, perhaps a list of best practices too.

The Best Solution for Secure and User-Friendly Secrets Management

All in all, I've found Akeyless Vault to be a great solution for managing secrets. The platform is easy to use and requires very little configuration. And the zero trust encryption technology “does the work”. Admittedly, I did have some trouble initially due to a lack of documentation, but their support was quick to help. Overall, I highly recommend Akeyless Vault to anyone in the DevOps space who's looking for a secure and user-friendly secrets management platform.

As someone who’s been in DevOps for many years and worked with multiple vault solutions, I can definitely say that Akeyless Vault is the best of the lot. They offer a centralized secure location to store and manage certificates, credentials, and keys for many DevOps and cloud tools like Kubernetes, Jenkins, Circle CI, and more.Akeyless Vault is pretty simple to use, and very little configuration is required. The interface is straightforward so you can easily get around. The platform offers automated credential rotation, just-in-time credentials, and short-lived SSH certificates, so it checks most of the boxes for us (a.k.a. the security team is less on our case all the time ;)Last thing I would kudos Akeyless about is that I can use it with the CLI / SDKs. Might not sound much, but for me it makes a difference.

Cons:

Initially, there was a lack of documentation. This meant that getting things migrated and familiarizing myself with Akeyless took a little longer than it should have. However, it seems that Akeyless is on the case and working to improve it.

A great all-rounder for secrets management

Akeyless helps us solve the problem of securely storing and accessing sensitive resources at scale. We were initially doing this manually but as our organizational needs grew, we needed a scalable solution. Akeyless has met our needs. Overall we are happy users.

The thing I like the most about Akeyless is that it provides an easy way to manage and store all of the secrets that our organization uses in our DevOps environment. I also like that the UX is accessible. The support is also very good, I had an issue solved in hours of bringing it up with them.

Cons:

We moved from a different vendor and the migration was a bit long due to the amount of secrets we had in our on-prem tools.

user-friendly interface that makes it easy to find the data you need

It’s been a joy for our team to use Akeyless Vault. Our team has become more efficient which has resulted in our bottom line increasing. This makes Akeyless and easy sell to upper management.

I find there are many benefits when using Akeyless, but some of my favorite features include: 1) The ability to securely store and manage passwords, encryption keys, and other sensitive data. 2) The ability to quickly and easily provision new users and systems, without having to worry about managing passwords or encryption keys, or worry about leaks. 3) The ability to audit user activity and track who has accessed which data. 4) The user-friendly interface that makes it easy to find the data you need, when you need it.

Cons:

I have nothing to report here. I’m happy with the product. If this changes, I will come back and update the review. If anything, the pricing, but that really isn’t a big deal. We were able to approve the spend easily.
