It just works better!

I've used Instant Demo to prepare demo videos of my software products for use on Youtube and also on my web sites. Also for providing customers with training on my software. Occasionally it's been used to capture something happening on my screen so quickly that I can't read it - where an application or script briefly displays a message which then disappears. I can record it with Instant Demo and then locate the frame in the capture that contains the message!

Pros:

It's a lot simpler to get things done in Instant Demo than the more well-known software product that does the same thing. It's so easy to create speech bubbles or add voice commentary etc.. Despite looking superficially rather crude (a small dialog box, to start with), it actually has all the necessary features for Windows screen capture video and editing, which are implemented in a clear and accessible way.

Cons:

Deleting a range of frames from a capture is actually easy, but I always have to remind myself how to do it from the on-line help! So maybe try to make it a bit more intuitive.

Reasons for choosing Instant Demo

Originally because the Flash files it created of software demos were much smaller than all the other products I trialled. And because I could get what I wanted done with it without much of a learning curve.

Easy to use and reliable

I just find Instant Demo extremely easy to understand and use. Its minimalist design makes it very straight forward to use. The support is professional and prompt.

Pros:

I have been using Instant Demo for over 10 years. It is easy to use and everything makes sense. It just does what I want it to do and what I expect it to do.

Cons:

Nothing really. Instant Demo has always performed.

Reasons for choosing Instant Demo

I had to use other products when Instant Demo transitioned from using Flash as its backbone. I gladly went back to Instant Demo because the other products I tried were just too hard to use.
