Great software if you design business workflows around this software!

Overall the experience was a good one. Jetbuilt definitely delivered on quite a few fronts - most of which was the visuals delivered to the end clients.

Pros:
Jetbuilt had features that allowed a quick turnaround of a quote that had a professional look to it with little ongoing effort to maintain the professional look.
Cons:
We had issues where because we had used Jetbuilt for an extended period of time, and it had undergone many software revisions, that layouts we had used became invalid, pricing got stale (especially when the automatic price changes weren't as automatic), and even when we had submitted update price sheets, the numbers weren't always right - which did occasionally produce some awkward conversations with customers when a quote we sent out, we had to revise upwards because it was quite old pricing. Also, that there wasn't an easy way to purge the database back to "default" due to items being utilized in old quotes made it so that if someone created a custom item that later was replaced by a Jetbuilt item, there wasn't an easy way to ensure people didn't continue to utilize the custom items in the future (which pricing never changed on unless manually updated). Also, the QBO plugin was unhelpful as it did not bring over/sync dealer costs and so POs sent through QBO would never populate without significant manual work to put in the pricing (so automatic pricing didn't help with this - and with the tracking in QBO from estimate, to POs, to Invoices, to invoicing clients, utilizing the built-in POs from Jetbuilt removed the workflow for the rest of the business, creating similar work on the backend if we had simply designed and sent quotes from QBO).

Reasons for choosing Jetbuilt

Portal.io while it can also do the quoting, has some implementation issues as similar cost. Their cost does top out faster, and if they overcame some of the implementation issue would be a better sell - but it's been a few years since we last checked them out.

Jetbuilt it Just Works for Hereworks

5

"I've had a great experience using Jetbuilt. It's intuitive, fast, and has significantly streamlined our quoting and proposal process. The ability to collaborate across teams in real time and maintain consistency in pricing and design has been a game-changer. The support team is responsive and helpful, and the platform continues to evolve with features that reflect real industry needs. Highly recommended for AV integrators looking to simplify and professionalize their workflow."

Pros:
Jetbuilt makes quoting fast and user-friendly. You can build detailed, professional proposals in minutes—not hours, customised Libraries, Vendor Pricing Integration and the ability to create library Items in a couple of clicks, I use Jetbuilt on an hourly basis every day. Its very intuiative to use and I especially like the cost analysis features
Cons:
Some fetaures are not yet available and I'v added my voice to the list from time to time during support chats

Pros:
We love the ease of use of the UI and the connection between vendors for accurate price points. Also, it's amazing for when new members join our team. Very easy to train on. Lastly, love the ability to generate a proposal with a cover photo and all the necessary information needed to present our company and what we are providing.
Cons:
No live integration to see how much spent in a project (actuals) as it gots under contract. For example, if we budgeted $500 for travel to a client there is currently no way of seeing that transaction live in the platform or through an integration.

Jetbuilt is the best proposal sofware I've ever used.

5

I've been in the electronic systems integration buisiness for over fourty years. I've tried several different software packages. I've used a few with good sucess, but most have had flaws that require work arounds. Several of these packages have promised a product database with pricing, but none have delivered until I tried Jetbuilt. Other packages are so conveluted and complex, they fail to provide a fast way to produce quotes. Jetbuilt has stayed focused and nimble.

Pros:
Jetbuilt is the easiest proposal software I've ever used. It does what you expect it to do and in the way you expect it to. The people at Jetbuilt have done a great job in providing a pracital and simple tool to produce quotes.
Cons:
The cost is a little high and has provented more people in my company adopting it. I've always found the project address fields frustrating. We often work as a subcontractor for a GC or EC. If I put the prposal in their name, it fills in their address. I'd like to have fields for the project address that are used to look up the tax rate.

Reasons for switching to Jetbuilt

When I started at this company 6 years ago, I needed to hit the ground running. They primarily use Excel here for Fire, Access, Security, Camera quotes. I find these generally have a much more limited product set to pull from. My quote are primarily AV and often specified so I have to be able to quote any manufacturer and any model. Jetbuilt was the best solution I could find.

Jetbuilt is the backbone of our AV division

Pros:
The simplicity of uploading our price lists and creating detailed proposals quickly has changed the speed that we can generate proposals.
Cons:
Price is prohibitive for us to roll out access to all of our field techs and staff outside of the AV division to effectively track labor hours, sales and inventory. Quickbooks integration is very lackluster.

Reasons for choosing Jetbuilt

Previous experience and ease of rollout and startup costs.

Pros:
The flexibility and ease of use are by far the best in the AV world as far as I am concerned. The support team is also fantastic and responsive to feedback.
Cons:
It can get very slow and laggy, especially on larger projects. It also seems like the system gets slower during "peak" times of the day. I would love to see improvement in that area, would make a strong case for pulling more processes into Jetbuilt. Right now it makes us cautious.

Reasons for switching to Jetbuilt

Dtools was very hard to customize, especially in terms of proposal generation and flexibility when editing different requirements of proposals.

Overall Positive But Room For Improvement

4

Overall the experience has been positive and Jetbuilt is a much better solution then what our team was previously using. There are improvements that could be made and the learning curve to learn all the nuances of the system have been a challenge. Tracking equipment has been much easier through projects.

Pros:
Currently my most liked tool from Jetbuilt is the asset inside the project. It is a TED that allows full equipment documentation along with device details. This is truly beneficial to our integration and FE teams.
Cons:
The least liked aspect of Jetbuilt is the lack of consistency. There are some pages that can be exported, but other pages that cannot. There is no real way to capture and note what equipment has been invoicing on a per monthly basis.

Reasons for switching to Jetbuilt

**Not the above product, I couldn't choose that our team custom wrote a program to manage quotes, equipment and sales.** We were using a custom-built solution. The searching and organization were not ideal and RMA or servicing products was nearly impossible.

Jetbuilt Satisfaction

4

I'd have to say, my overall experience with Jetbuilt is amazing. I love the database and how it functions and that everything can live in the database from start to finish. I like that you are able to copy a project and rename it when you are selling the same system to another client. This is quite helpful in saving time for our Sales Engineers. The system is robust but not too over the top in what it offers.

Pros:
I love how you can keep up with a project from start to finish and see where the money moves, whether it is in a good or bad way. I like being able to inform my PM that all items are received and he can look in the system to see exactly where items are located in our warehouse and then plan tasks around the items.
Cons:
What I don't like about JetBuilt would have to be how slow the system is with larger projects. Also, when you merge a Change Order into the main project, it doesn't remove the main items, just shows a negative item for what is being removed. This causes issues when exporting the estimate to Quickbooks as it shows negative items that we are charging them for.
