How to get interesting content to employees in 5 different cities

We've been partners now for a little less than 2 years and we've been very happy with the collaboration. We get excellent service, the platform allows us to keep our personnel in 5 cities up to date on current affairs, it's easy to use and we get great feedback form our staff on the content.

Pros:

What I most like about Valotalive is the fact that it's integrated into social media platforms that allows us to have automated social media updates. This way all our employees get an easy view to what's going without having to follow all the different channels and the content is always fresh. Valotalive also has other integrations and is constantly developing new ones which makes it easy to have relevant and up to date content on the screens. I also appreciate how easy it is to post new content on the screens.

Cons:

It's very easy to post content but the admin platform is slightly more difficult to use than I'd prefer. Especially since I use it seldom I almost always require some assistance in using it. But with great customer service I've always found a solution to the problems at hand,

Overall easy-to-use, clean system - provides lots of options and capabilities. Also the follow-up and service from the team has been exceptional.

Cons:

The con is actually a positive, too - so many options a little overwhelming at first to a new user (or it could just be me - LOL).

Capability and usability - large percentage of workforce works at customer sites where digital signage can be effective communications method

What I liked most about Valotalive was the fact that it is built in the cloud and its main function is to pull information from other systems with simple apps so that we don't have to maintain multiple content systems. I also like the fact the quick development and constant improvements of the system as well as great and personal customer support.

Cons:

It can be a little bit complex to understand, especially for new users. I would also like to see more self-service permission functionality so the customer administrator can assign flows and displays to certain users without having to ask for assistance.

The main reason in the beginning was that it was one of few systems that supported Sharepoint.

Our previous system was an on-premise system and was getting outdated in functionality.

A solution in perfect harmony with the needs of our company

We were looking for a digital signage solution that would allow us to distribute information and news published on our new Sharepoint-based intranet to our employees. Among the solutions we were looking for, only Valota offered this option. Many companies use the complete MS Office ecosystem. For us, Valota was the solution that best suited our needs, providing us with flexibility and comfort, since we didn't even have to change our internal communication tools.

Cons:

We find that all the available options are useful, nothing is missing. In addition, Valo's teams are constantly working on new tools and options. The functionalities seem to be always up to date and in accordance with the evolution of our needs.

Reasons for choosing Valotalive

Price is a major decision factor for us. The other solutions considered often proposed a higher price and not always justified. The presence of the bridge with Sharepoint was also decisive in our choice.

Efficient and very stable digital signage platform

The whole implementation project was smooth and quick, including a recommended online training for end users. Features continue to be updated and new ones are made available each year. Customer service is very reactive and feedback goes directly to the Product team. Works smoothly since a few years now in our offices around the world!

The ease of use of the whole platform and the very reactive customer support, notably live on the chat.

Cons:

The plugin needed to be installed on Chrome as an extension for screen visualisation - too bad the visualisation cannot be directly in Edge.

Neova Group utilizes Valotalive Infoscreen services to enhance communication and information dissemination across various locations. Valotalive provides a digital signage solution that allows Neova to display relevant content on screens installed at different sites. Flexibilty to build a different flows to different global locations.

Cons:

Video abilties were limited. We had a case were manager wanted to show 10 minutes video during 5 days, but size of video had limits.

Using Valotalive for internal communication

Valotalive helps us to improve our internal communication in a modern and people-friendly way. Now internal messages and information reaches out to all of our stores. We have received very good feedback from our personnel. The platform and the service meets our demands. Help is provided whenever we need it and the answering time from the support is very short. The pricing is reasonable: we only pay for what we use.

Pros:

Valotalive makes it easy to communicate internally: The platform is effortless to use and its versatile apps makes it easy to create content with added value for the personnel. High scores for the scheduling of posts, "posting-on-the-go" directly from your mobile phone and the administration of screens/content.

Cons:

I would like to have the opportunity to add some hidden hashtags to the posts, so that when the content is in the archive, I could easily find the posts later using those hashtags in the archive search engine. Now I can use words from the post to find it in the archive, but I don't always remember the correct words so that the correct post would appear in my search. We have some posts that we like to show later again and then it would be nicer to have easier access to them in the archive, rather than going through them one by one. Those hashtags should not be visible on the screen but would be a help during the search process in the archive. Also, it would be nice to have dates shown in the archive instead of "posted 1 week ago", "posted 4 weeks ago" etc. That would also be a good search criteria: searching with the publishing date.

Next gen digital signage, no need to go suffer with legacy hardware or back-end. Fast to implement new visualizations.

Cons:

The tag layer adds unnecessary complexity, and the reporting isn't to the level that it could be (exports not widely available)

It allows us to make our KPIs more visible to all employees and this way is an important leadership tool. It has additionally extended our internal communications reach to employee groups that cannot be properly reached with any other internal communications channel

Cons:

Getting the right balance with the different content parts has been a bit challenging but I assume this is something that we learn to fix over time
