Devart SSIS Data Flow Components for Azure Synapse Analytics is a tool that allows users to integrate Azure SQL Data Warehouse with other databases and cloud applications using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The product includes optimized components for connecting to Azure SQL Data Warehouse, including a source, destination and lookup. It also provides a dedicated connection manager for Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
The Azure DWH Source component offers an editor that displays all the connection tables and columns. It also shows the available system and user variables, allowing users to add them to the select statements. The Azure DWH Lookup component uses advanced optimization techniques, such as select statements that check multiple rows at once and caching the returned results to provide high performance.
The Azure DWH Destination component utilizes PolyBase, the recommended approach for importing large volumes of data to Azure SQL Data Warehouse. It handles the process of splitting data into CSV files, uploading them to Azure Storage and running PolyBase scripts automatically.
