Fantastic Takeoff Software

I have been a Planswift user for many years, I do feel that Planswift has an ok program but it only works with Windows and not set up for cloud use, I started looking for other options. I am so glad I found zzTakeoff, it is a young software and lacking a few customizable options but it is very user friendly and easy to use. The pricing is very reasonable and the customer service is absolutely fantastic. I am excited to see and experience what zz has in the future. I would definitely recommend this software.

Pros:

1. Online access on any platform 2. Customer support/service is absolutely fantastic 3. The willingness of the zz team to listen and hear suggestions for features to help us perform takeoffs more efficiently. 4. AI automatic sheet numbering and naming

Cons:

At this time (being a young software) it lacks some abilities to customize items and templates and does not have an overlay feature, but the zz team is working on providing those options soon

Reasons for choosing zzTakeoff

Cost was the major factor in not purchasing StackCT

Reasons for switching to zzTakeoff

Planswift does not update their product and no designed for cloud use.

zzTakeoff Review - fire alarm/suppression contractor

Experience has been great so far, has really streamlined my estimating workflow and i have only scratched the surface of the software

Pros:

The ease of uploading drawings, naming them, and getting started immediately on a takeoff. It has been a serious time saver at my company, where the standard is printing out paper and using a hilighter/pencil

Cons:

The default device icons (basic shapes); a takeoff with lots of different devices is hard to understand visually without a legend or guide. I would like to be able to use symbols from the symbol list or upload my own.
