About AzStudio

AzStudio in a cloud-based solution that provides a visual interface for business application development.

The AzStudio interface allows users to select an application type, select application components and build out functionality using a visual development workbench or a code editor. Other features include plugin architecture, SQL fabric, code generators, federation and environment management, retry logic, service bus management, legacy application modernization tools and more. It also offers users security options for Azure cloud solutions such as an encryption engine and API, endpoint management and UIX tile security.

Users are provided with cloud management functionalities such as logging and statistics, localization, error codes, storage and FTP and functional testing. It also features process management capabilities and offers users a process designer, templates, assignments and help files. Additionally, AzStudio supports integration with JIRA.

Services are offered on an annual or monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone and email.

Simplified move from AWS to Azure.

Pros:

AzStudio enabled our platform rebuild, saving us time and money as we moved from AWS to Azure. When one of our live systems had issues inside AWS, we were able to jump into Azure with a replacement in less than a week.

Cons:

Migration from AWS VMs and installed SQL to Azure services and SQL as a service introduced a learning curve which AzStudio helped us overcome.

Pros:

Outside of dramatically increasing the whole developer process, we really liked the fact that if someone leaves in the middle of a project, we are not back peddling to fill in their code work. It really standardizes the process and helps with technical debt.

Cons:

This product is built for Azure and provides tremendous efficiencies in that platform. We also use AWS to a large degree, and would love to have these same capabilities in the AWS platform as well.

Pros:

Being the owner of a shared work space, I appreciated how AzStudio regulated the whole process so we were able to better serve our coworkers.

Cons:

Our company does a lot with AWS and at the moment AzStudio doesn't have options for that, right now it isn't a problem but it would be more convenient if they provided AWS.

Pros:

We have a fairly large shop with .net developers. AzStudio is the first tool I've to see that actually speeds up the whole development process and can help us move faster.

Cons:

Only works in Azure. Would love to see this type of tool available for other products in the cloud.

Pros:

AzStudio is the only product that we've evaluated that gets us what we need, and the only one that will make it possible for us to easily move between cloud vendors in the future (something our CTO has made a high priority.) We expect great things out of our trial, as this could be a game-changer for us.

Cons:

There is allot to the product - the more we get into it the more we learn it can do. Consequently it requires focus.
