About OpenProject

OpenProject is an open source project management solution that offers features such as issue tracking, document management, time and cost reporting, and code management.

The solution helps users collect ideas and specify project scope and deliverables. Users can break down work packages and deliverables into tasks and activities using the list view. Users can view multiple projects in a single bar chart and can highlight changes to the project schedule.

OpenProject allows users to track the time and costs spent on a project. Users can run custom reports that provide information on project performance and resource allocation. The wiki feature lets users summarize project results and create closure reports. Users can archive projects for references and training purposes.

Pricing is per user per month. Support is offered via phone, email and online forum.

We have experienced the supremacy of Openproject in revamping our projects

The experience has been magnificent.we have had such a smooth journey with Openproject and seen it profoundly transform our projects making them easy to manage and organize every aspect of our projects workflow in one place which enabled us to effectively steer forward multiple projects, complete them on time and deliver their anticipated value. It also enable us to collaborate on projects without any friction.

Pros:

The best part about Openproject is that it provide us with Gantt charts, Kanban boards and other agile tools that have helped streamline our insurance product development projects enabling us to innovate faster. Openproject brought a new era to our collaboration. It centralizes information, enable us to share project plans and files, communicate, share tasks and ensure that team members and stakeholders are on the same page in regard to tasks and projects progress. Additionally, it enable us to schedule, manage multiple projects and allow us to visualize and get insights of each and every project in one place. And in case of any adjustments in the project schedules we are all notified about the changes. Openproject has enabled us to handle sensitive information without any worries because it provide high data protection with sturdy authentication and passwords

Cons:

Familiarizing ourselves with Openproject was so easy and we are impressed with all its features because it has enabled us to tailor it and make system adjustments to fit into our workflow and to erectly suit our project management needs. No demerits so far.

A review about OpenProject. A powerful tool that is redefining the stakes in project coordination.

Our success story with OpenProject has not been a surprise to us because in overall, we have had an amazing experience working with its features. OpenProject offers us a fully feature-loaded platform for managing our projects from idea conceptualization, to plan, to actualizing the idea until the final product is achieved. This way, we never waste time and energy transitioning from one product to the other. A great impact we have experienced with OpenProject has been the ability to get our projects done in time saving us from the extra costs of delayed delivery.

Pros:

I like using OpenProject because it is packed to the bream with unmatched project management functions, which means that we can coordinate our projects from the start to the very end within just one platform without having to jump from one product to the other. Another key area that i find useful are the data security features which gives us a secure environment to work on our data without loosing them to security breaches. Planning for our projects with OpenProject has been effortless because of the task scheduling features like Gantt charts. Creating project dashboards is also easy and they allow us to display all key information about our projects to keep everyone up to speed. The team collaboration space has exciting information sharing and communication channels that help our team to stay connected during the entire project period.

Cons:

We have had a clean user experience with OpenProject. No complaints has been reported so far and it offers nothing that we hate.

Very good project managment tool

It help lot to manage number of scrum team for a single project and we could be able to manage over 100 staff on this product.

Pros:

i was able to use this product over 4 years on my previouse company. It was a very good selection for those who looking for a free agile based project management software

Cons:

less flexibility and hard to configure/install is major issue i realized with this tool. It too so long to fix certian slowness issue of the application.

The good thing about Openproject has been its ability to unite team member to collaborate on marketing asn sales initiatives. It also enable us to create and manage tasks with various priorities and status helping us to track and organize our work effectively. Kanban boards and gannts charts help visualise project workflow, timelines, track dependencies and track milestones, making it easier to schedule and manage ongoing campaigns and projects. Openproject enable us to communicate, share information and collaborate effectively on sales and marketing initiatives. Openproject also generate reports that help us view project metrics such as time tracking and resources allocation, providing us with insights that aid in decision making

Cons:

Openproject delivers perfection in every feature and it's interface is without any flaws. We haven't experienced speckles since we implemented it in our organization

Openproject user-friendly interface makes it easy to interact with. Openproject dashboards are the most incredible things we have experienced when working on our projects. They make it easy for us to gain visibility of our projects in one place. The robust collaboration tools are the real deal. They facilitate communication and information sharing, ensuring that everyone has access to relevant information and we are on the same page. Openproject enables us to generate detailed reports on project progress , time tracking and resources allocation which aid in better decision making. We are usually working on projects that require high security and we are glad that Openproject protect our data and collaborate securely.

Cons:

Openproject is flexible and it meets all our needs perfectly. We have also been able to leverage all its capabilities in managing our projects without any hitches at all.

The sky is truly the limit with OpenProject, a true hero in project planning, tracking and management.

As a project coordinator where my primary role is to keep everyone in the team aligned to the project goals, I cannot thank OpenProject enough for the perfect job it has been doing. By using OpenProject, it becomes easy for us to formulate clear plans for our projects which ensures everyone stays agile to achieving the end goals within the budgeted time frame. OpenProject collaboration features has opened new doors to the way we approach our projects allowing us to now keep everyone united during the entire project period. To add to its fantastic project planning tools, OpenProject also makes it easy for us to track the progress our projects in real time which help discover which tasks are lagging behind schedule.

I find OpenProject really easy to work with thanks to the slick user interface and the user-friendly features design. OpenProject task planning functions like the Gantt charts has been making it easy for us to lay clear work plans for our projects. There are also collaboration features that allows us to team up and work together on our projects. Its ease of integration with third party products help us to holistically manage all the project operations operations from planning, resources allocation all the way to completion. OpenProject also has efficient task tracking features that help us monitor our projects work progress in real time.

Cons:

I have been fully amused by all OpenProject features. OpenProject has lived true to its value and has never troubled us in any way. I totally lack anything negative to comment about it.

Possession of fantastic analytics and reporting tools that give us insights into project's progress, compliance, resources allocation and the overall teams performance. These reports comes handy during our weekly adminstrative meeting as they helps us make informed decisions.

Cons:

It is excellent for the most part, but in situations where you have part-time staff needing specific access to project's data, user roles and permissions customisation options are restrictive.

If I'm to give one word that perfectly describes OpenProject it will have to be "SIMPLICITY". It is easy to use and implementation is straightforward and completely self-service. All customization and integration capabilities are accessible and well described in the online documentation, it's impossible to get stuck along the way. The way OpenProject Stresses on cloud data security, confidentiality and privacy is remarkable. We are able to share updates (project status) with the relevant stakeholders without giving them full access to specific project's internal details.

Cons:

I haven't encountered any aspect that OpenProject falls short of my expectations.

Pros:

OpenProject remains to be the top online project management tool in my ranking. It has a user-friendly interface and despite being affordable it hasn't compromised on the quality of it's features. It execute processes super quick and it is not affected by the number of projects, teams or users and it is highly customizable

Cons:

There are still some upscaling limitations even if it is open source. The free version misses resource allocation among other key functions. Lastly there exist mobile app so we often have to access it from our computers which is kinda inconvenient because project management is an all time tasks

Reasons for switching to OpenProject

Effective for smaller project and teams.
