Customizable & Reliable

We've been able to centralize our data and get so much more information than we could with other software. The support is amazing and you can learn at your own pace with Rent Manager University. We love it!

Pros:

I love that I can write my own reports, customize most everything in the system with User Defined Fields, change settings to work for our business, integrate with other software.

Cons:

It can be overwhelming when first onboarding as there are so many settings and options so you need to make sure you understand the settings before implementation.

Reasons for choosing Rent Manager

The LCS organization is so different from others - they're easily accessible and take the time to learn your business without pressuring you into anything that isn't a good fit.

Pros:

The Rent Manager Experience is all about the user. Ease of use and endless customization. I like that one system can do so much and hold so many pieces of documentation. Fantastic value for the money. Customer support is amazing - so responsive and helpful.

Cons:

Sometimes I have connection issues and error messages that cause some down time and frustration. It does usually resolve itself in a short amount of time.

By far the best property management software on the market!

I did over a year of research before deciding on Rent Manager. The competition paled in comparison then and still does.

Pros:

The best all around solution to all of our property management needs. From maintaining files to maintenance, accounting, reports and overall managing of work flow - Rent Manager is the best by far. It is intuitive, gives you the best bang for the buck with unequaled customer service.

Cons:

No complaints. Love it! When I do have a concern, I know I can address it with the Rent Manager team and the issue will be handled promptly.

Ease & Efficiency

Over the last 10 years I have had very few issues with RM. It has been so easy and efficient to use and if I need help, it is usually my fault but the RM support team is just a phone all away to help me fix what ever mistake I made

The ease of use is spectacular! Easy to ;earn and to get up and running. I have been using it for 10 years now and love it!

Cons:

It is difficult to script yourself, I always need help to do that, but help is always there for support

Rent Manager is for SERIOUS Property Managers

Our business would not exist as it does without Rent Manager. The onboarding and installation was a bigger time commitment than we anticipated, but it was well worth it, and Rent Manager's support team stuck with us through our struggles implementing it.

What I like most about Rent Manager is that it is, without question, the most complete property management and PM accounting software - and they have the support to back it up.

Cons:

It has thousands of features so it is complex, but the complexity once optimized is an incredible tool and business engine.

Reasons for choosing Rent Manager

We used Rent Manager from 2019-2022 then we tried Buildium and TurboTenant in 2023 but they were not even close to being adequate for what we do. Called a few other companies and got called back by annoying sales dudes that did not understand real estate.

Rent Manger V12 is Great Software Overall

Overall, I think this is great software. It's more robust than most other software I've used for this industry, and they have a lot of useful integrations. They have excellent customer support staff as well who problem solve in a timely manner. There are great tutorials on Rent Manager University, and I've also used this platform as a trainer.

Pros:

I love Rent Manager V12! It's great software especially for those in the manufactured housing sector. They have great reports and lots of customization options as well as integrations. I've used a handful of different software for property management, and this one is by far my overall favorite.

Cons:

I don't like their new version, Rent Manger Express. It has a long way to go to be as great as V12. It's ok for basic users who use it minimally. Also, it would be great if, when pulling reports, you could drill into the results that make up certain numbers, especially on financial reports, but not a deal breaker. It would just make it easier to recognize things that need to be reclassed or to help explain to a board member or investor where certain numbers come from without having to do a lot of research.

Reasons for choosing Rent Manager

We actually went to Yardi Voyager and then less than a year later went back to Rent Manager. They didn't have the reports we needed for investors. They were supposed to develop them but I saw that years later when I went to another company they still hadn't made the reports.

Reasons for switching to Rent Manager

I've been in this industry a long time. AppFolio was super basic. While Yardi Voyager was quite robust, it wasn't user friendly and didn't have the reporting needed for manufactured housing. Manage America is ok but requires other software like BackOffice to fill in the gaps.

The ability to easily fix errors with out having to go through to many steps. Rent Manager is pretty easy to use.

Cons:

It is not self guided it will allow you to make mistakes. It should be able to track what you are doing and assist with the process instead of letting mistakes to be made.

Happy Customer

Overall, I have had a very good experience with RM. Despite some complaints, Rent manager continues to prove themselves as the right choice for my company. The customer support and drive for improvement make them a clear winner.

My favorite part about Rent Manager is that they are able to offer customized solutions to my company's complex problems.

Cons:

My least favorite part about rent manager would have to be the process for setting up the rmvoip service. I would have liked more direction in using the phone system and how everything works together.

Rent Manager was the best fit for Manufactured housing because of its customization and asset tools.

Rent Manager has been the best software we have used. User friendly and so many options. The tenant Portal is wonderful.

Cons:

I really have no problems with it. Trying to navigate the RM Express is a bit difficult. A work in progress.

Fantastic property management software

Rent Manager is great. The customer support team is so helpful and the program can do so many different things. They just added AI features for writing letters and it has been such a time saver.
