About Afosto

Afosto is an eCommerce platform built with a modular structure. It aims to serve webshops across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. B2B and B2C store operators can connect to a wider audience, enabling them to sell domestically and internationally. The tool is only available in Dutch and includes a POS web application.

Retailers can synchronize the cash registers of brick-and-mortar stores to online stores. It supports sales and stock-keeping operations for various channels, including online stores, third-party storefronts and warehouses. The cash register facilitates email marketing campaigns and discounts at the point of sale.

Afosto boosts customer lifetime value through customer profiles, loyalty schemes and brand interest groups. The order management system provides a view of the entire supply chain, serving as an ecosystem to streamline operations. Users can generate purchase orders, accept customer orders, fulfill orders and receive payments in multiple currencies.

Pros:

The challenge lay in the fact that Afosto had to replace our existing (self-built) functionalities. There was a lot of customization involved, which is not easily found in standard solutions. Although the migration was a time-consuming process, we are very satisfied and the current solution offers a wealth of possibilities.

Cons:

Perhaps the learning curve and that we didn't have all the functionality immediately available to us. Incidentally, many of the problems we experienced in the beginning we had caused ourselves. Looking back, we should have addressed more issues immediately, with this we could have avoided a kind of 2nd migration.

Reasons for choosing Afosto

They were recommended to us by a party we have been working with for years. We were reluctant to do a migration because of the effort involved, limitations on the current business and budget. Afosto had a clear opinion about this and were not only willing to think along but also to work with us. That's what won us over.

Mooie software voor een volgende stap na onze ervaring op Wordpress i.c.m. Woocommerce

Met Afosto hebben we een volgende stap gezet in het verkopen van onze producten. We kunnen via het systeem onze producten aanbieden aan zowel B2B als B2C klanten via hetzelfde systeem. De orderafhandeling gaat sneller en we besparen op marketing kosten door betere SEO scores.

Cons:

Het CMS is in het begin wat ingewikkelder dan Wordpress maar wel een stuk stabieler.

Reasons for choosing Afosto

Afosto had Nederlandse developers en service, omdat we naast hun zaten in ons vorige kantoor hadden we de kortste lijntjes en beste service waardoor we snel het nieuwe platform en zijn voordelen leerden kennen.

Reasons for switching to Afosto

Bij Wordpress liepen we tegen problemen aan door het groeiende aantal orders en de stabiliteit van onze site. Omdat we zelf geen programmeerkennis hebben huurden we extern developers in om bepaalde problemen te verhelpen. Hier liepen we tegen problemen aan door miscommunicaties en onbegrip.

Fijn softwaresysteem met veel opties! Makkelijk te gebruiken voor je webshop.

Ik ben overgestapt van Shopify naar Afosto met mijn webshop Dry FLWRS. Meer mogelijkheden en erg gebruiksvriendelijk systeem. Ook word je goed geholpen bij Afosto als je ergens tegenaan loopt. Ik ben super tevreden met het systeem. Ik zal het iedereen aanraden die een webshop/ winkel heeft.

Pros:

Fijn systeem om mee te werken als je veel producten moet toevoegen/wijzigen. Bestellingen afhandelen gaat erg snel. Afosto heeft een makkelijk B2B systeem.

Cons:

Wat ik fijn vond aan Shopify is dat je je design van je webshop makkelijk en snel kan veranderen en bij Afosto moet een frontend developer dit voor je doen en dat kost tijd en geld.

Reasons for switching to Afosto

Met shopify ben je vrij beperkt met verschillende dingen waar ik tegenaan liep, vandaar de overstap naar Afosto. ( Design, SEO, Breadcrumbs, Verzending )
