Nextdoor is a community and social networking solution that helps neighborhood communities share the latest updates, sell items, interact with neighbors, exchange recommendations, and more on a centralized platform. It allows public agencies, local government bodies, and service providers to send geo-targeted messages, post updates, send emergency alerts and connect with users.

    The most I like about the nextdoor software is that you know what's going on around you.

    As a small business that relies on finding clients, this public forum is an excellent place for that. Not the best platform for selling items, though.
    Cons:
    There is a limit to how much content can be posted, following large fees if we wish to post more. This is fine, as we do not wish to spam this very unique and useful social platform. The fees however...can be very steep, especially for mail marketing.

    Nextdoor somehow provides us with more insight into seasonal trends, and we can reach more people with half the work. It is a pinpoint social marketing option.

    Terrible for businesses! They Kept My Ad Deposit!

    I just demanded my money to be refunded. It remains to be seen if I'll receive it. Since I work in e-bike safety and promoting the three legal classes of e-bikes, I may have been targeted by a shady dealer in our region. Some retailers have been lying to customers (there's a new class action lawsuit in the works). While I haven't named any names in my posts, this may have been preemptive. A book I wrote teaches parents how to shop for legal e-bikes. So, if they "reported" me as not being me, and nextdoor believed them, then I give up on this site.

    I'm a local business owner who was able to see just how much my service is needed. I'm working to improve e-bike safety in our communities, and a lot of locals have posted about their experiences with teens on e-bikes.
    Cons:
    I started a paid business account on top of my personal account, and I paid for some advertising. It resulted in no real sales. Worse yet, my account was suddenly shut down, and they said someone accused me of not being me. I sent them proof of my identity, which didn't make any difference ... AND THEY HAVE A BALANCE of money I paid in advance for advertising!

    Perfect software to connect with people in your neighborhood. You can ask for a recommendation for a plumber, ask if anyone else heard the loud noise or why traffic is backed up on a certain road. You can advise your neighborhood that someone is going around stealing packages or just thank your neighbors for helping out. It’s a great software that’s neighborhood specific so that people aren’t on it from the next city over and that helps greatly in passing information or getting local advice.
    Cons:
    No specific cons for this software. You have to have a moderator, which you need on any public forum.

    Nextdoor is the best way to contact your neighborhood. It is an awesome online place where you and your neighbor can stay in the know and exchange local help and needs. It helps to connect neighbors to each other and to everything nearby. With Nextdoor you can find your whole neighborhood in a single app. Nestdoor makes it so easy to keep up with everything going on in your neighborhood. Nextdoor is very safe and secure, you can trust all nextdoor members. Easy setup, user friendly interface. You can use Nextdoor both in PC and mobile devices.

    Nextdoor is quite less popular than other social networking website but the community is getting larger day by day and another fact is Nextdoor is not avilable in every countries.

    I have been used this app for several months. And my experience is really too good. It makes my life easier to communicate with my neighbors. . It assists at the time of corona lockdown. Literally, it’s too much helpful.

    While I started to use this app, I didn’t think this was useful. But this app is more useful than my expectation. It helps me to keep communication and develop relationship with my neighbors. It contributes to combine us in a center. Festive celebration, get together, small business, party arrangement etc. are being easier and frequent than previous in our local area. New comer can easily introduce with us in our locality through this app.
    Cons:
    Features should be increased. Unfortunately, people misuse this good tool. Adultery or extramarital relation is increased in locality for this big network facility.

    What I really enjoy about Nextdoor is that everything that is posted there can have the potential of having an impact in your life. This is because the people who are posting there are your neighbors! It is social media from your neighborhood! For example, if you loose your dog you can post it there really quickly and your neighbors can start to keep an eye out for your dog. I have seen this happen and the dog is always found. Also, you will only see posts from your direct neighbors, so you don't get bombarded with posts from neighborhoods that you don't live in. I really enjoy it.
    Cons:
    I don't like when a lot of businesses do posts, and when you pay to post, it can be any business that might not be in the neighborhood. If it was local businesses posting or a side hustle of a neighbor that would be pretty cool. Don't let big companies take over Nextdoor.
