About Google Drive

Google Drive helps users store company data in one place. Users can access files from desktop and mobile devices and control how team members share these files. The platform provides a central admin panel, data-loss prevention and a vault for the drive to ensure compliance and file sharing between users.

Google Drive offers team collaboration tools such as Docs, Sheets and Slides. Teams can create new documents and share them with members. They can also engage in real-time document editing and leave comments to update members of changes. It includes machine-learning technology to help users predict future needs. Google Drive provides features like natural-language search and optical character recognition (OCR).

Google Drive integrates with third-party applications including DocuSign for e-signatures, CloudLock for additional security layers and LucidCharts for mockups. Users can open different file types like PDFs and MPEG4s, and they can work on Microsoft Word files straight from the drive. Pricing is per month. Support is provided via online chat, email and the phone.

Pros:
I am using Google Drive as my primary storage now as it beats other products. I can set permissions and manage access or storage most conveniently.
Cons:
I see now it is better than alternatives and so cannot think of any con, but if I had to think of something it would be that its less convenient to share with someone if they don't use gmail for some reason.

Pros:
The fact it connects with the majority of my computer based use makes it seem a little more tidy than a lot of other drives
Cons:
The fact that Apple crashes it a lot no matter what’s going on it . It seems as if they have some sort of block on it.

Reasons for switching to Google Drive

I was using an android and it was very fluid so once I got another iPhone, I just kept up with it because of the amount of things that I had documented.

I dislike that my current company uses outlook, and Maybe google can up its conversion efforts and save those of us stuck on it.

An Irreplaceable Tool for File Organization and Sharing

Having utilized Google Drive for a long time and experimenting with other file storage options, I find Google Drive irreplaceable. I just wish I could toggle foldering on inside of the various Apps.

Pros:
I love how easy it is to manage items and implement my own nomenclature inside of Google Drive. In addition, managing sharing permissions is simple. There are also great add-ons for business utility, as well and the ability to code your own add-ons. This can be useful for things like permissions expiring for a user after a certain number of days.
Cons:
Drive will hold all of your items across your workspace and have foldering and nomenclature, but if you navigate to the other apps (for example, Sheets) you lose access to the foldering that was present in drive. It means you erally have to navigate using Google Drive only - all-in-all not a huge drawback.

Reasons for choosing Google Drive

It was the simplest product that offered the needs my organization had, and I had familiarity with it from my past careers.

Pros:
I originally started using Drive to share videos and pictures without losing quality, but now use it daily as I can make and edit documents and spreadsheets directly from Drive. It's also been incredibly helpful as a free Cloud backup option, was very easy to set up, and seems like the easiest option for sharing as most people have a Gmail account these days.
Cons:
I had some technical issues while moving ownership and permissions of files to a new account, but they seem to have resolved within about a week.

Reasons for choosing Google Drive

I thought I would end up having to pay for OneDrive eventually due to how it is marketed

Pros:
I like a shareable space with friends or colleagues. Everyone has access, and it’s free, so posting something on there makes access easy.
Cons:
Personally, I don’t like how it is not really Excel or Word. These “versions” are ok, but frankly I avoid using it because the bells and whistles in MS Excel and Word are more user friendly.

Reasons for switching to Google Drive

Friends and colleagues use it. So I had no choice.

What I love most, Google Drive stands out for many reasons but mainly because it simply makes storing and sharing files feel effortless. The feature I appreciated most is how seamlessly everything syncs across devices. Whether you are on my laptop, phone, or tablet, my files are always exactly where I left them, updated in real time without me having to think about it and provide great customer support and value for money. Love the note taking and text editing feature and collaboration.
Cons:
What did you like least about Google Drive, while Google Drive is incredibly convenient, there are a few areas that can be challenging like limited offline reliability, storage fills up quickly. Occasional slow loading large files or folders with many items can take a while to load, especially on slower connections. at times:
