About Zoom Phone

Zoom Phone is a VoIP solution designed to help businesses in education, finance, healthcare and government sectors connect and communicate with team members on a unified interface. It offers a central administrator portal, allowing managers to modify phone numbers, view call details and monitor call quality.

The platform supports an advanced encryption standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm that lets teams secure voice calls and media across various session initiation protocol (SIP) devices. Zoom Phone enables administrators to transfer, forward, record, block and hold calls using Android and iOS mobile applications. Additionally, teams can switch between voice and video conferencing, manage call queues and secure login via single sign-on.

Zoom Phone lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications such as Google Drive, Salesforce, SharePoint, Slack and more. Pricing is based on monthly and annual subscriptions and support is extended via FAQs, help center, training videos and other online measures.

Love How You Can Receive Calls To Your Office Phone From Any Device In Lieu of a Physical Office Phone

Overall, Zoom Phone is a really good tool for employees who aren't in a physical office all the time to still receive calls to their office number. Additionally, there are many devices you can receive or call from.

I like how Zoom Phone is a very convenient and useful tool for employees with an office phone who work remotely or aren't always in the office. You can call and receive from a laptop or your own personal smartphone.

Cons:

The mobile app keeps asking me to turn on location services, which I don't want to do because it drains the battery on my phone. Additionally, not a complaint, but Zoom can try to do a better job of filtering out spam or junk calls.

If my phone didnt get so hot, this would be the perfect app!

Sometime folks get a little grainy but if we are not screensharing and I am able to hear them, this is no problem. It is easy to navigate between video chats, message boards, screen sharing, out of the app if I need to without disrupting my call or meeting.

Sound quality is always great and clear.

Cons:

My phone gets HOT. I always worry that it'll turn off mid-meeting due to getting overheated. Maybe that is the nature of the app? Or is it my phone?
