About Zoom Phone

Zoom Phone is a VoIP solution designed to help businesses in education, finance, healthcare and government sectors connect and communicate with team members on a unified interface. It offers a central administrator portal, allowing managers to modify phone numbers, view call details and monitor call quality.

The platform supports an advanced encryption standard (AES) 256-bit algorithm that lets teams secure voice calls and media across various session initiation protocol (SIP) devices. Zoom Phone enables administrators to transfer, forward, record, block and hold calls using Android and iOS mobile applications. Additionally, teams can switch between voice and video conferencing, manage call queues and secure login via single sign-on.

Zoom Phone lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications such as Google Drive, Salesforce, SharePoint, Slack and more. Pricing is based on monthly and annual subscriptions and support is extended via FAQs, help center, training videos and other online measures.

I really enjoy using Zoom Phone. Again, it's easy to use and learn how to use it. The product has worked very well since installing. It's great for a business to use with it's employees.

Zoom Phone makes it very easy to check your voicemails by adding them to a queue in the Zoom Workplace app. It also adds the transcription for you by sending you an email with the voicemail and the transcription. That's very nice for catching phone numbers and things of that nature. Meetings are very easy to schedule and log into them when others are using Zoom. It was easy to learn the system. I like being able to change my availability and out-of-office status with the app in the background options.

Cons:

With the voicemail I can clear them out in the app, but it won't clear them out from my desktop phone automatically. This could just be the type of phone we have hooked to our Zoom workplace system.

Select Zoom if you want customer complaints

Poor. Wasted almost week in total hours with countless zoom staff to discuss this BUG with noone able to explain the design rationale, nor propose anything but training my staff to Opt in and Out of queues manually.

Queues unusable so everything else mute. Like having a car without wheels.

Cons:

Queue member availabilty does not correlate to user's presence. IE user is OFFLINE yet call sits in Queue because they are Available for queue. It is utter nonsense

Phone system uptime business continuity and complexity of managing. Prospect of Unified Comms was attractive with Zoom and the incorrect perception Zoom phone was now a mature offering.

ZOOM - The base to sucess

My overall experience on zoom is awesome I have used it many times in taking online tuition classes , many online exams in my school time and easy to take classes or Group meetings from long distance.

Great VoIP option!

So far, it has been a quality product. It was fairly easy to set up and is a breeze to use. Once the client was downloaded to my machine, I put it in the startup so it is ready as soon as my computer boots up. It's very easy to use. Considering the competition, this is far easier to use than any others I've used and far less expensive.

VoIP. It works across apps, while sitting at my desk, or on the road on my cell phone. It takes voice and video and integrates well into the Zoom family.

Cons:

I really have few complaints. Perhaps a wish: I wish that it could automatically screen out robo and fake calls. It might be able to, but I don't know how.

Reasons for switching to Zoom Phone

Cost of Ooma was climbing. Also, Ooma wasn't as universally known. It was also not as easy to use on the administrative side.
