SmartDraw a powerful tool for diagramming, drawing, layout and more.

It is perfect for drawing projects, has a wide range of templates that make it easier for you to work and all the types of diagrams you need (at least it is for my IT area), it has a desktop and online version that allows you to work in any place, it is very useful.

Pros:

SmartDraw is a very complete plication for all types of diagrams that you need, has great virtues with respect to Visio that can be considered the number one in the market or at least used, when you need to diagram a project from the basic algorithm to the more complex gantt diagrams , this tool is very useful, it makes you much easier in work (in my experience much easier to use than Visio) the connection between diagrams is simpler, since finishing a diagram makes it much easier to do the following, has a wide range of options and templates that help you in the creation process, contributing to the development of diagrams for systems that you are going to develop, a very useful tool for projects where you need to correctly capture what you want to develop, use it, try it for yourself.

Cons:

Its main against is the price, the full version is very expensive although it allows you to enjoy the desktop version and its cost is very high, I think you should download it to compete more in the market. The speed of the online version sometimes fluctuates negatively, it is a mistake that must be corrected.

Decent, but could be better. Not a Visio killer, but close.

Overall, I like it. I've used for technical diagrams, process flows, step-by-step workflows, etc.

Easy to use, great graphical design. Drag-n-drop design. Easy to access templates.

Cons:

Cannot manipulate the design as much as I would like. It's a graphic program, but not as easy as you might expect. Cost.

Good libraries - ie range of projects with templates one can use. I like the ability to show or hide measurements.

Cons:

Very clunky drawing and measurement tools; completely ridiculous pricing for light users now they have switched from product licences to online subscriptions

I appreciate the responsive customer support for Smart Draw. It is a great program to use for our crime scene investigations classes. There are many helpful features and tools for students to use. It is very helpful for students to be able to save the sketch within Smart Draw and then to download to a PDF for assignments.

Cons:

There is a bit of a learning curve when creating a sketch. However, after using the program a couple times, it becomes easy to use.

Nice to Try Horrible to Own

Overall I like smartdraw as a program but the customer service, lack of customer retention and acting like they are robots, not actually helping or answering you, just like they are reading from a scripted book. Have over 500+ customers ready to sign up at $15 a month, and they still refuse to budge.

Ease of use, templates, learning was a breeze, simple program with basic features. I recommend this if you are a beginner and want to do a free 7 day trial or are looking for a basic program with basic features to get to your desired design. I would not buy this as it's a annual trap.

Cons:

The plans offered are horrible. No monthly plans for those of us who want to periodically want to create personal designs. It's either all or nothing with them. Even with the $10.99 monthly subscription, this has to billed annually which is a headache. They have lost so many customers over not offering a month to month subscription with a $15 subscription fee.

Reasons for switching to SmartDraw

Because 5dPlanner was way too powerful for what were doing, a little clunky to use and very very intricate in design features. I loved the free version they had and the monthly subscription options.

I liked the price and the easy project management Tool Set.

Cons:

Newer version does not allow import of Excel or Text files to build org charts. This is a show stopper for me!

Reasons for switching to SmartDraw

Earlier version had the org chart import feature that I liked, along with the price. Since the org chart import Excel and Text files feature has been eliminated, I'll have to look for a different solution.

Whether you are using the online or downloaded version of SmartDraw, they are located in the SmartPanel on the left once you have opened an org chart. Hopefully this helps. I' using SmartDraw for many years and my opinion is the same :An inexpensive but fantastic software for both network diagrams and any other business and other needs. Cheap but very good.

Cons:

I installed the 2020 version a couple of months ago but opening old files was particularly slow. I tried completely uninstalling the software and reinstalling it but didn't notice any improvements. I spoke to other users of different company and they confirmed the same opinion.

Smart draw has been extremely helpful for our Business! Not only for us to keep record of our retail stores floor plans for city permit applications, but also for our merchandising teams to keep track of plans for future merchandise roll outs. The platform is extremely user friendly and forgiving when learning how to use it. The customer support is extremely helpful as well, we had new team members join and we were able to schedule a tutorial with the Smart Draw team. I highly recommend this platform.

Cons:

I currently have no complaints on the platform. Most of the issues I've ran into were user error and I have been able to figure out a fix relatively quick!

Pros:

Can create your mind maps and complex flowchart of any kind with ease. Using it on office desktop and well integrated with Microsoft office suit. Also compatible with google docs which is very helpful

Cons:

So i didn't find anything and i will strongly recommend this for pm and business analyst activities.
