About Jirav

Jirav is a cloud-based financial planning and reporting solution that is designed to give businesses the proper tools to examine historical data and build accurate financial models and plans. With Jirav, users are able to accurately forecast financial operations with pre-built templates, develop financial insights with customizable dashboards, visualize data with interactive reports, and centralize all financial data operations with built-in data connectors.

Building financial models is easy using Jirav. Jirav is able to consolidate all financial, operational, and workforce data into a single place with data imports. Data can be imported from Xero, Salesforce, Quickbooks, or even Excel. Jirav is able to transform this data into a structured view of financial operations using a chart editor for customizable dashboards. Jirav's reporting functionality can also generate a structured view of financial operations by creating exportable and interactive reports designed to visualize side-by-side executive summaries or financial statements.

What I like most about Jirav is the clear dedication to improving their product. Jirav is continuously releasing product enhancements that positively impact the user experience. Our Customer Success Manager (Josh) is knowledgeable, service-oriented, and truly wants our business to succeed.

Cons:

I don’t have many dislikes about Jirav. They don’t currently integrate with our payroll provider but I believe they may be working towards a solution.

A Planner, Forecaster and Analyst's dream app

Amazing team: they've been great to work with, providing stellar help to get us onboarded, up and running with the app. I'm amazed with what this app can do. I wish I had it when I was working as a financial analyst at multi-national companies - it would have saved me so much time and headache. The app makes it possible for SMEs to have access to an enterprise-level modelling tool at a fraction of the price and with better ease of use. It's a no-brainer.

Pros:

Create beautiful budgets and multi-scenario forecasts with ease. Multi-dimensional and driver-based, so it can handle all the random complexities of business. Easy enough for my financially-novice clients to pick up and build scenarios in with ease (great for collaboration). Easy communication tool to chat about the bigger picture and where to focus efforts. Easy KPI tracking. Connects to your accounting software so you don't have to update actuals manually.

Cons:

It's a wee bit slow at times, but we are plugging in complex accounting files into it and building out highly complex models within it.

Reasons for switching to Jirav

We couldn't do what we needed to do. The UI/UX wasn't great. The quality of the reporting was below our expectations.

Jirav for All Client's Data Visualization and Growth Planning

The team is great, the product is great, the Jirav animal play is great, and our partnership is a key way we drive value and differentiate ourselves from other accounting firms.

We are able to provide financial data visualization to all clients, and do more streamlined/structured growth planning with those who value it or are wasting their time doing it in Excel.

Cons:

No custom report groupings, but that is fixed as of now!

Review - Jirav FP&A implementation and use

Pros:

We were in the market to implement an FP&A tool to enable us to make confident planning decisions by upgrading our budgeting, forecasting and reporting suite. I have been using Jirav for ~ 12 months and I can confidently say it has saved significant hours and enabled us to take our FP&A function to the next level. Our internal reporting is significantly better enabling us to set comprehensive budgets and assist in achieving these budgets. The implementation team were excellent throughout the whole process, really getting to understand how our business works in older to customise the Jirav model in a way that allows us for accurate forecasting. Customer support has been great throughout the process with quick response times for report updates where needed. Jirav is now very well embedded into our tech stack and we would be lost without it. Integrations with our accounting software & CRM model is also extremely valuable, allowing for quick updates when needed.

Cons:

I wouldn't call this a key dislike however a challenge has been the steep learning curve to understand how to best utilise the software. The team have been great with assisting to push through the learning curve and once fully up to speed using the software is great. UX/UI is an area where improvement is needed however Jirav are targeting these improvements as part of their product roadmap. During my ~ 12 months with Jirav, they have rolled out some excellent updates.

Easy to use - great customer support!

We have been really happy with Jirav. As mentioned before, the team is outstanding - great tool overall. Look forward to our team more fully utilizing features that we haven't even tapped into yet.

We loved the communication from the Jirav team - great support throughout implementation and active use. Good tools available to navigate. Can be a little complex - but once set up it is a fantastic tool for modeling.

The product itself is outstanding, but more than that I have been impressed with their people. From sales, to setup, to support, I have had 100% positive experiences. I would describe the team at Jirav as exceptionally knowledgeable on their product, and profoundly professional.

I like that its easy to understand for founders and employees alike - we use it to export bunch of reports and share with investors. Makes it super simple.

Cons:

It can sometimes be a little slow. But I can't be sure about it...
