Very attractive prices and features

My overall experience is positive. I am completely satisfied with the service of "kDrive".Its price remains very interesting for a self-employed person like me who works alone.

Pros:

The 15 GB of the free version and the price of the offer with 2TB of storage very competitive! Can be used on all platforms, ergonomics, the "kSuite" and the "infomaniak" ecosystem.It is a serious competitor to other solutions.

Cons:

I haven't really found any negative point(s) yet. It gives me complete satisfaction.

Pros:

First, it's price and privacy value. I was on another drive but I switched to Kdrive. For the same price, you can multiply by 10 your space, and manager your users. The manager is easy to use and have a large panel of options.

Cons:

I think it miss some granularity on the number of users per level of subscription. Could be more crescendo. Linux client is less efficient than windows'.

They corrupted and destroyed my data and they could not recover it

About 3 months ago my data in certain folders was disappearing. I asked them over and over about it but they either didn't respond or they responded with the attitude that they don't know what happened, nor frankly did they seem to care and they definitely had the attitude that I must be the problem as it couldn't be their system. They did recover that data, but I kept asking them to find out why this had happened. Well, it happened again, and en masse. Much of my data disappeared for no reason. The folders were still there but the data was gone. Pdf's gone, jpg's gone, png's gone, .java files gone. I found them in the trash. Thinking this odd, I restored them but now they were corrupted beyond use. Documents related to my mothers probate, corrupted. Pictures of my wife from up to 20 years ago, corrupted and in-openable, dozens of .java files corrupted and broken beyond repair. I told them about this again and I could tell they had the attitude that I must be deleting them as it couldn't be their system. I admit to wondering myself. Soon afterwards I emptied the trash because I had put a few files and folders in there that I had imported from google drive. But apparently the system had been randomly been doing it again and putting my files in trash. So now all the data that had disappeared was gone because they have no way to recover data to a previous time like with icloud or google. They take no responsibility, they do not care about the problem.

It seemed very professionally done and a worthy competitor to big tech and based in Switzerland.

Cons:

No way to restore files to a previous state. They only have the ability to take things out of trash and put them back. But in the process of doing that, much of the data is corrupted beyond repair. Service is ambivalent. I lost all my data in their kdrive over 3 months, corrupted beyond repair or gone completely. They don't care, they figured it must be my fault and they have moved on to other customers. Imagine Customer Service made up of weed users and you understand the response you will be getting. My data was destroyed and all I get was "Thank you for your confidence. We remain at your disposal.".

Thank you for your review, and please know that we are truly sorry that your experience was not optimal. As discussed in the ticket, we try to provide as many innovative solutions as possible for our customers, such as the rollback tool. This tool is currently reserved for our support agents, but will soon be deployed to all our users. This tool allows you to go back to a previous state of a document, from the very creation of a kDrive. However, its limitation is that if the recycle bin can has been emptied manually (action only possible by the user), then the file is permanently lost. For this reason, a message warns the user of that fact. This limitation is the very reason why we do not perform any automatic recycle bin cleaning even automatically or after X days. This is made so the file history is systematically maintained. Please know that our teams remain at your entire disposal.

Simple et efficace pour le stockage et le partage de fichiers

J’apprécie la simplicité d’utilisation, l’interface claire et la possibilité de partager des fichiers facilement avec des collègues ou amis. La synchronisation est rapide et fiable, et la sécurité des données est rassurante.

Cons:

L’espace gratuit est un peu limité, et certaines options avancées demandent un abonnement payant. L’application mobile pourrait être un peu plus fluide sur certains appareils.

Automatische Synchronisierung mit lokalem NAS, einfach zu bedienende intuitive Smartphone-App, Sicherheit durch hosting in der Schweiz, jenseits datenhungriger amerikanischer Anbieter.

Cons:

Maximal drei Nutzeraccounts im aktuellen Paket. Würde gerne auch in der Familie separate Accounts für private Nutzung vergeben, das würde aber sehr teuer.
