MomaPIX DAM software allows you to assign the rights to view, edit, upload and publish content to each user or group. I took the right decision

My experience with Momapix is simply a "before and after". The best ever looking and user-friendly system I've used in years, easy to manage, cared to the detail, in permanent development, very trustfull tool and powerful image branding. A must for managing imagery with contributors and customers, with nice and quick human guidance and trouble shooting service.

Found a complete solution for my needs, a comprehensive tool to manage my daily digital imagery and archive and make it accesible for customers

Cons:

Not to count on customers' downloading reports and statatistics to monitor customers' interaction, that I consider basic, Other, not to enjoy of editing and accountancy tools unless extra fee.

MomaPiX helped Swiss-Image to create complete new photo workflows

MomaPIX DAM and the Caption Builder are a powerful combination for a completely new way of image communication for media and image agencies. A fully automated workflow (ftp transfer, auto enhancement, auto captioning, auto organization) from the camera to the media database and to the editors with a time delay of 30-60 minutes set new standards in news, sports and event photography. The future has already begun - thanks to MomaPIX and Swiss-Image.

Pros:

The MomaPIX media database is functional, attractive and easy to use (even for the administrator). Technology and team are very open to customer requests. This has enabled us to realize a long-cherished idea: the fully automatic image transfer from the camera to the media database including automatic image processing and as an absolute novelty the autom. addition of image captions according to IPTC standards. Thanks to the "Caption Builder", the photographer selects the appropriate caption on his smartphone, which is added to the image when it arrives on the MomaPIX server. Around 30 seconds after the photo is taken, press photos are available online. The photographer can also apply final corrections to his fold phone and actively send his pictures to editorial offices via ftp or group mail. The "LiveImage" system speeds up the image process by a factor of 20 and saves money. Swiss-Image has been using the system successfully for a year. Our images are often print winners with the media - thanks to the speed and quality advantage. The development costs, which were very fair, are amortized in two or three years.

Cons:

The MomaPIX media database uses keywords in the IPTC captions to organize the database. On the one hand, this has made our fast LiveImage system possible, on the other hand, editors and photographers have to get used to the changed workflow first. Before shooting, captions must be created in the Caption Builder. After that, the workflow simplifies dramatically. One or two reports are often enough for the photographer to get to grips with "text before picture before FTP transfer". The virtual construction of the database with control words in the IPTC fields can lead to errors or even the "disappearance" of photos if captions are not created correctly. we are now able to have 20+ photographers uploading images with full automation including forwarding to external partner via FTP. The level of flexibility that we have thanks to dedicated rules that we can implement allows us to manage this with low effort.

With the current option we are not allowed to change the front end of the web page (e.g. menus, pages), but instead need to contact support

MomaPIX DAM is a system that can be completely customised to meet your needs. It's very practical and intuitive. You'll get used to it very quickly. Thanks to its adaptability, it's a very user-friendly product.

Cons:

I strongly recommend to develop the display by line for cataloguers. For the moment there is only the mosaic presentation.

Great experience!

For us at Blaublut Edition it was really important, to have an easy way for our clients to quickly and reliably find and download relevant image material, by using keyword-search through a modern and appealing database layout. Additionally we required the database software to be functional and convenient to administrate. All of this was perfectly implemented by Momapix and their highly motivated IT-Team always came up with solutions to any requested adjustments.
