About PreconSuite

PreconSuite (formerly PipelineSuite ) is a leading end-to-end cloud-based bidding software that allows general contractors and subcontractors to perform their bidding functions in a fraction of the time.

PreconSuite's modules allow users to create and send bid invitations and addendum notices, manage bidders, qualify subcontractors, create bid form tabulations, compare bids side by side and level bids in order to decide which subcontractors to award.

Subcontractors who receive a bid invitation do not have to login or register to access your private planroom.

Emails are sent in a unique way which guarantees your emails will get into the subs’ inbox. Bid Invitations and Notices are sent FROM your own company email, so they look more personal to your subcontractors, resulting in the highest open rate in the industry. Option to change which user the email is sent from.

Your database is never shared. You OWN and can EDIT your data on the fly using PreconSuite's exclusive in-line editing feature. You can edit an email and resend a bid invitation in two clicks. Some systems do not allow you to edit emails on the fly since it is not your data.

Pros:

The fact that subs don't have to register to use the system is the key.

Cons:

Could use comment space for each sub to note where they came from, who they used to work for, etc.

PreconSuite - Best Precon Management Software on the Market.

PreconSuite is very user friendly. I have been using PreconSuite for over a decade. In my opinion is the most user friendly - subcontractor storage/bid solicitation/bid management software that is on the market.

Pros:

Customer Support is bar None. If I have a question, I simply send an email and PreconSuite responds back to me in record timing.

Cons:

I cannot think of anything I do not like about PreconSuite. PreconSuite is constantly updating and offering improvements - thereby always keeping up with their competitors.

We felt PanTerra was lacking many key elements that were important to Precon software.

Pipeline Suite User

Overall, it was a good program to start our bid invite process on or if you are a smaller company it would be good and cost effective. However, it's very manual. We have since changed to a more automated and user friendly program for our own needs.

Pros:

This software is simple to use and is effective. It's user friendly and a beginner can learn quickly how to operate all aspects of the program.

Cons:

This software is very limited and repetitive. If we want to send invites to a specific vendor, we have to list that vendor in each sub category and select from the sub category. This would in essence drive us to set up each vendor and then go through an incredibly long sub list for each vendor. We have hundreds of vendors an this takes an immense amount of time. Very manual.

Customer support is unmatched. Will take our ideas and turn them into software upgrades. User-friendly for us and our subs & vendors.

Cons:

While they were willing to take it on, it is an expensive option if we want them to maintain up-to-date DBE register.

Value for money and excellent customer service stand out! Always updating with customer requests. Great reports. Bid management is easy and intuitive. Short learning curve.

Cons:

Two-way syncing with google calendar has not been applied yet. Freeze titles on views with a lot of rows would be helpful.

The best part of my user experience is [sensitive content hidden] willingness to directly respond to questions and concerns. Show me a software package by any company that provides even a fraction of that kind of customer engagement - you know there aren't any!

Pros:

I like the fact that PreconSuite does what it was designed to do and does it well. Not only is it easy to use but the development team listens to user input to constantly make upgrades to make the user experience even better.

Cons:

There aren't many cons, but I must admit I prefer the legacy dashboard project view to the new version but everything else works in the same way. When you select your project from the dashboard, view project info, all of your "action" choices are easy to activate from one location. Whereas the new view makes you look around a bit to find the action menus needed.

Great product

I have been using this program as a bidding administrator for a non-self performing GC for 10 years. I prefer it to anything else I've been introduced to.

I'd like to be able to log in as myself on multiple devices at one time, such as my desktop and also my iPad, without getting kicked out of the other one.

PreconSuite is an excellent solution for serving as a single source of truth for bidder solicitation directories.

Cons:

"Mass Assign" / "Mass Editing" could be more efficient. Right now the workflow required checkbox selection that is slow.
