About EHS Hero

EHS Hero is a cloud-based EHS management solution that is designed for businesses in transportation, food production, manufacturing and other industries. It allows businesses to focus on what really matters, by helping them avoid unnecessary risk and ensure compliance with legal requirements. The software includes a custom plan builder that allows users to create custom plans that can be created in minutes from preloaded templates.

EHS Hero provides an audit management system that helps businesses upload and store audits from field visits or easily create custom documents with the software's other capabilities. Additionally, it tracks all common and custom incidents, including those related to state or federal forms, and fills out the necessary paperwork automatically. Users can also perform investigations with various methods that can be easily created and updated for each incident type.

Overall a good database and I recommend it and would use again if needed but not needed in my current role

It was a system to help with environmental health and safety issues and tracking of Claims so it was a good system to use. I don’t currently use it

Cons:

I don’t recall having any issues with it mostly my NHS manager used that I work in human resources so I partnered with the DHS manager on a lot of issues

Love it, EHS Hero has all the tools I need to build our EHS program - from plans & procedures to a plethora of training materials. The curated regulatory updates save me a ton of time, I no longer need to hunt down updates from multiple regulatory agencies!

Comprehensive plan & program templates that are easily customizable to fit the needs of our facilities - from regulatory compliance to contractor oversight. The layout is user friendly and intuitively easy to use. Great value for the money and their customer support is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable!

Cons:

I haven't figured out how to download multiple files at once ("batching"), unclear if that is an option or not.

Nice Program for Larger Companies

The cost is overkill for our size company. Our field employees aren't computer savvy enough for this program. The program has lots of topics but there are limited amounts of trainings that apply to what we do.

Topic content is up to date and professional. The videos provide a clear understanding of the training topic.

Cons:

This product is VERY expensive. Not as user-friendly as we would like. We are are small company with 8 employees.

Intuitive technology, state of the art forms and superior customer service. Their system admin support area is easy to use.

Cons:

We had some issues using the SSO and security but these have been resolved. I have 20 people using the system.

EHS - Not the Hero for our Safety needs

Overall what features I really needed for our safety program are not here. Sure its inexpensive but one reason we chose this was our old system was outdated VHS tapes from the same company. Right after we purchased there is a new option called Basic Safe which you should not have to pay extra for; should be all inclusive.

It was inexpensive. It has a place to store and research what pages you can use to start building a safety manual; if needed. It does have the tool box talk pages and you can get assistance from other safety experts regarding questions about OSHA laws. They will give you the link to the citation.

Cons:

The training aspect. The videos were cumbersome to look up. Then once bookmarked you cant just download onto your own computer for a quick and dirty way to keep training straight. There are also too many options on the training subjects. If I am looking for lock out tag out then just give me one option per say - not three. A lot of the content on here can be found when you join NSC.

Reasons for choosing EHS Hero

The price at the time. We needed to get something as what we had was outdated.

EHS Hero/BLR

EHS Hero was in place when I first started. The system was relatively easy to use and had decent content, but eventually we moved away from it due to costs and finding something that worked better for our site.

Long videos that covered OSHA required safety training. Large selection of toolbox talks and various topics that cover a wide selection of industries.

Cons:

Some of the videos were old, lethargic, and had outdated, irritating, and repetitive background music.

A great value for the money. Tremendous customer service and support team. EHS Hero is very easy to utilize across any organization. The Form creation option is a huge benefit for compliance regulations. User interface and contractor management is a significant benefit. Their real time notification systems helps to drive EHS improvement

Cons:

I honestly did not find anything that was not relevant to the Environmental Health and Safety process.

EHS Hero is a great advance over EnviroBLR

EHS Hero is a great improvement over the preceeding EnviroBLR. There is much broader coverage of state regulations and the resources available have been greatly expanded and are easier to access.

Comprehensive coverage of state regulations, which is a great improvement over the old EnviroBLR. Direct connection to regulations. Much improved user interface.

Cons:

Two step log in when you hit a link. Log in credentials should be embedded in original email to allow quicker access.

I find EHS Hero to be a useful resource for improving safety and training programs and for catching up with industry news.

EHS Hero is my go to resource for training resources whether I need to develop a new program or refresh an old program. There are a variety of resources available for either. I also find the industry news helpful for a quick glance at what is happening every day.

Cons:

There are so many resources, it can be overwhelming at first but they offer training and are available for questions if you need help.
