Best Overall IDM Product on the Market

In my experience this is the most comprehensive and full-featured IDM suite on the market. It does what they promise it will do. It does not require a great deal of customization, but you can customize it to whatever degree you wish. It works well with the other NetIQ IAM solutions which makes for a comprehensive Identity solution for your organization. I've been in the IAM business for 20+ years and in my opinion this is the best product on the market.

Multi-Platform support, Numerous out-of-the-box Connectors that are fairly easy to configure for basic functionality, Great comprehensive feature set and easily extensible with for IG

Cons:

Since the Micro Focus takeover they seem to be scaling back on their support staff.

Phenomenal Enterprise Provisioning Software

Pros:

The NetIQ IDM suite does most everything a business needs in a provisioning solutions. I have found it to be stable, provide excellent performance, a strong feature set, and very secure. It requires professional assistance in setting up, but it provides a much better ROI than other provisioning products.

Cons:

You do need someone with good experience with this package in order to add functionality. I have found that there are not as many resources available in the market as with some other offerings.

If there is a sentence I could use to define the NetIQ IDM solution it would be this: ease of use !

This software is not only easy to install with the multi-platform installation (Windows / Linux) but also easy to configure with the pre-configured policies and rules. The hardest part is really to define internal processes because once it's done putting them all together within the policies is easy as 1,2,3. You have more connectors (at least to my knowledge) for this solution than any other that are waiting to be installed, configured and deployed through one single application by using only drag and drop and point and click (almost code free, XML code is being build with the click and point).

Pros:

It's very easy to comply to the GDPR requirements with this product. Verifies the user identities and with combination with Access manager can give you full visibility about who,when and why is doing something in your envirinment.

Cons:

Sometimes is difficult to new user to jump into the interface and they needs to be supervised by experienced one.

Pros:

The most important feature is, without a doubt, the ability to connect with virtually any type of system, its ability to personalize is unparalleled, and the clarity during debugging is excelent. In addition, its capacity for self-service for the end user, based on the 'role based provisioning module', makes this tool a great way to manage access to systems in an automated way, in companies of all sizes.

Cons:

The learning curve for implementation is not too fast. Due to the high degree of personalization that this solution has, you often need to have certified people. However, there is nothing against the product itself that can be mentioned, it is a solid and flexible product.
