About Abto Fruit Counting

Abto Fruit Counting is a machine vision solution for retrofitting existing conveyor lines in fruit packhouses. It can also be of interest to food processing equipment suppliers that want to offer the most innovative solutions to their clients.

Abto Fruit Counting's solution calculates the number of fruits that move on the conveyor along with three other important parameters: current & average speed of fruits (in fruits per minute) and capacity utilization (in percentage). The results are provided in real-time with 95%+ accuracy. They can be shown on a separate display/digital signage, or exported to the inventory management system.

Abto Fruit Counting is easy to install without disrupting the packhouse operations. The only addition needed to transform the existing conveyor into a smart counter is an IP camera mounted directly above it.

Abto Fruit Counting supports but is not limited to the counting of the following fruits: pome fruits (apples, quinces), citrus fruits (oranges, lemons), stone fruits (mangoes, peaches), coconuts, and pomegranates.

World class Software

From day one Abto staff was very professional and wanted to deliver us a product that was not available any were in the world-I am very impressed with the feed back and updates that i received from all staff members -was a great experience working with the team taking in to account we are a world apart ,distance support did not stop the Abto team to give great service to our facility in South-africa

Pros:

Fruit counting gave us the ability to control out line feed speed to optimise the flow off our fruit and optimise the the utilization off the machine and get it very close to the design parameters, the biggest challenge we faced before fruit counting was over feeding the in feedline and that added to a increase maintenance and down time

Cons:

Being the fist off its kind in our industry we constantly improving and developing the software. The interphase still needs some work-and adjustment need to be done in the back ground ,there need to be more improvement-that said it still works very well
