Brainingcamp is your all-in-one solution for teaching math with digital manipulatives. It allows you to make math more engaging through visual and hands-on learning. Its 16 colorful, virtual manipulatives help students visualize abstract concepts.

Brainingcamp offers various features like ten frames, number lines, and memorable animations. Teachers can connect with students in real-time using the LIVE feature, allowing them to watch as students work on the assigned tasks.

Brainingcamp supplements every curriculum. It includes Clever and ClassLink SSOs and also supports integration with other platforms. Students can access Brainingcamp using schoolwide or classwide generic shared logins.

Pros:

Students at my school, even kindergartners, have no difficulty learning to use Brainingcamp. Using the virtual manipulatives allows them to make sense of problems and creatively express their thinking. We have created many beautiful bulletin boards showcasing this work by saving and printing what they made. BrainingCamp is an excellent tool that works well with our core math curriculum. Of course, real hands-on manipulatives are very important, but Brainingcamp offers unlimited supplies of manips and also an easy way to capture their work that can be referred back to later.

Cons:

None that I can think of - I like that they are constantly adding new features!

Pros:

They are continuously improving their tools and ease of function. Their webinars are engaging and directly relevant to my job responsibilities. Their team is responsive to questions and suggestions.

Cons:

Most of the concerns I have had with the BrainingCamp tools over the years have already been improved upon. Now they make improvements I hadn't even thought of.

Brainingcamp is fantastic!

This tool has been so great for my students! As a teacher, it has been wonderful to have a resource that my students can use for in-person learning as well as if we happen to pivot online!

At times it requires a bit of exploration for students to understand the sub-features. However, when given the chance to explore each of the manipulatives, they are able to use the supplies

Pros:

Brainingcamp is an outstanding tool that I use to enhance the portion of my lessons where I model math skills. The students are able to see how I work through problems before they attempt to do it themselves. My favorite manipulatives I use with my 2nd graders are the base 10 blocks. Brainingcamp has an amazing feature that breaks up tens, hundreds, and thousands into smaller parts, and is able to regroup them just as quickly. This is an exceptional feature for my visual learners.

Cons:

I have to save up enough money to purchase a license, however their licenses are very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of manipulatives and the hard work that was placed into creating such a fantastic site.

Pros:

This educational software is so flexible for students to use - so many options, from backgrounds and work mats, to labeled or unlabeled manipulatives. So many options for all levels of learners. The creators truly listen to educators’ suggestions and change when needed.

Cons:

I really know of no cons-other than hoping for the creators to add 3D shapes to the tool box.

I love that it offers so many features of the hands on manipulatives digitally. The live feature is so helpful with collaborative learning, and I absolutely love the ability to create tasks and assign them to my students.
