Feature rich, but not really intuitive

A market leader, giving access to a huge amount of quality data. Sometimes too complex. Not easy to ensure that you are making the most of it.

Pros:

Refinitive is flexible, customisable, feature-rich and can be accessed in different ways (data requests from Excel are a valid alternative to the native interface). It gets updated in real time and you can save pages and views that you use more often.

Cons:

You can feel lost at times. Although there is an help section, and help desk and even help videos teaching you the basics, you never know whether there is a more efficient way to access the data and sometimes you are unsure whether you are actually getting the actual data that you were looking for. Also, as different licenses involve access to different features, you never know whether the procedures described in the help section really apply to you or not.

Reasons for switching to LSEG Risk Intelligence

My organisation decided that Refinitiv had a better cost/benefit ratio than its competitors and I had to follow suit.

Wide us platform

Refinitiv has helped us organize all reports and management responses. We are able to go back and make adjustments without risking the first portion saved. We are able to share and communicate within the software and have everything saved.

Pros:

It helps keep tracking of audit reports and all correlating documents. It easy to attach documents as well as keep them separated and easy to retrieve. You can store by specific titles which you can easily find later. You can easily import and export documents.

Cons:

It can be a little confusing to learn the software in its entirety. You have to make sure that you save all of you work as you move to the next step or else you can lose it.

comprehensive suite of data and solutions to help bank to manage financial crime, sanctions compliance, and third-party risk. This is very important for international bank like my previous employer

Auto Audit has come a long way since I 've used it in the past. The software is more aligned to the audit process and assists auditors in planning, fieldwork even implementation phase.

Cons:

Learning curve medium and customer support needs improvement as the turnaround time for solutions is really slow.

Pros:

It covers and gives access to a wide range of data variables of high importance for research and data analysis purposes. Different Screen saving option is very helpful to organize your data. Data export is quicker and easier once you select your data.

Cons:

There should be a live customer care service facility through chat to help the users in case of any issues. There should also be an exhaustive list of data variables with search codes and their definition available on the database. It will help a lot to search the relavant data quickly.

Pros:

Refinitiv's data base in incredibly comprehensive and allows you to retrieve any relevant information about the company within seconds. Data can be easily exported for further analysis, leading to big time savings.

Cons:

If you open the Software for the very first time, the interface can be a little overwhelming. But once you got used to it, you will value the interface and the tons of functionality it brings.
