Very Good and Flexible

Pros:

Flowable has a very good and flexible engine. There is so much feature about business management. Besides of this there is CMMN, IDM, DMN supports and features. There is included user management system. For backend, flowable has very flexible api.

Cons:

Flowable is weak for cluster systems with 1 database. Because flowable works with periodic sql queries from the database. If you have more than 1 flowable instance, you must consider this. If wrong flowable instance gets your process or job, it will be fail.

Flowable - an infinitely interesting world

I like this software. With enough time and experience, I can solve many issues. I like the personal contact with Flowable. They have been helpful and have taken my ideas seriously. Some feature requests are already in the product.

Pros:

I like the variety of standards and models in Flowable. BPMN, CMMN and DMN make Flowable accessible. Using query, liquibase, data object or service model makes Flowable powerful. The RESTful design of the software makes it familiar to use. As a modeller, I can also design some of the user interface.

Cons:

It's nothing to use sporadically. The more software engineering skills you have, the better. If you develop some apps, as a modeler you are very fast involved in code (expressions). Not every expression is well documented. This makes it sometimes very hard. The software is allways in change - sometimes with buggy features.

The price-performance ratio was great. I like Flowable as a business partner.

Cons:

Flowable can improve on the way code is managed and deployed in the system.

Reasons for switching to Flowable

End of life for Edoras meant that we were on the path to select a new workflow product. The Flowable product allowed us to build process flows and automations that catered to the unique needs of our clients.

Awesome tool for automating time-consuming processes

Flowable's helped us automate tasks in a few differetn departments. Thanks to the workflows we set up with it, a lot of our time-consuming tasks are conducted much faster and in a much more standardized manner. A great addition to any complex operation.

Pros:

I think the best thing about it is the drag and drop feature. You can just pick an element from the list and add them to you workflow without having to choose a hundred different options

Cons:

We've seen more than a few bugs since we started using it. Usually nothing important but causes us a bit of headache every now and then.

Flowable seemed to be the easier to use out of the two, and the pricing was better as well.

Flowable Review

We use flowable for process management in large-scale projects. It is easy to model and does not need much code development. Quite successful for managing processes, assigning them to a desired person or group, monitoring their status, etc.

Pros:

It has all the components for modeling the business processes of the units in enterprise resource management projects. We were able to produce outputs for process improvement in many places by collecting metrics on markers in line with the needs in our models. In short, it is very successful in modeling.

Cons:

We made improvements with the approaches we developed in creating metrics related to kpi. In fact, having such capabilities on the product will make it more preferable to use.
