World Class Leasing System

I have used many leasing systems over the years as financial accountant, and nothing beats LOIS. LOIS is user friendly, with a great customer support team - all Chartered Accountants which mean they can provide you with the best support and advice. I have also found that LOIS is the only leasing software that can generate catch-up journal entries for backdated lease changes, which mean no manual handling is required. The Reports are great too, in the past we wasted a lot of time to determine our lease movements for each major reporting period, how we can report with a click of a button.

Pros:

User friendly, great customer support and the only leasing system out there that can generate catch-up journal entries for backdated lease changes.

Cons:

Too frequent change of password requirement. This software might come at a higher price that other options, however you pay for quality and convenience.

I could not find the alternative products in above dropdown: Fusion5, LEASE Viareport, My Treasur-e, Nomos one I chose LOIS because it was the only system that could generated catch-up journal entries for backdated lease changes., LEASE Viareport, My Treasur-e, Nomos one

Reporting, audit transparency, lease management and customer support - much easier than tracking on spreadsheets

Cons:

More complicated leases/amendments/extensions can take time to calculate separately on a spreadsheet for monthly payments to be entered correctly

I like most about LOIS is it helps posting GL transactions easily, and also help doing leases forecasting easily

Cons:

There are certain things that LOIS is not easily to accommodate, ie. change of asset split, change of landlord from old to new without having to terminate the original leases

Easy to use to assist in accounting for our leases and great prompt service from the team when we have any queries. Great reports for month end reporting and audit.

Nothing major as when we have a problem the Lois team are very prompt in responding, a few screens could be more helpful if there was an edit option.

LOIS Review

LOIS has been a great tool for managing company leases. The system is easy for users to understand and follow. I was a bit nervous when I was first introduced to LOIS; however, after using it, I found it to be very straightforward and user-friendly. It has been a great help for the company in managing lease information and in calculating lease assets and liabilities through the software.

Majority of the function is very easy to use. The only function I don't like is the lease reference can't be changed.

Pros:

LOIS is an easy-to-use and intuitive software which offers an excellent variety of reports that cover all the information needed. Furthermore, it allows all reports to be downloaded into excel which makes working with the reports easy. Moreover, the customer support is excellent, and issues are dealt with in a timely fashion.

Cons:

While the response on customer support tickets is timely from the local support team, some of the issues require the involvement of the developers and before a problem can be solved or a fix can be made a work around might be required.

Easy to add or terminate any leases Easy to use and easy to download any accounting information required for GL upload. Easy to download amortisation schedules.

Cons:

When a lease is added and active is LOIS - it is not possible to change the lease division (ex 100/200/300) in LOIS in the future if there is any change.

In some instances - Changes (new lease with incorrect initial payment) cannot be reversed and need to delete and start over. Would be helpful if these could be changed on the back end

Pros:

We rely on the reporting from Lois and the support given to us by our consultant. The support is fantastic as requests are often time critical during audit. Response times are very fast.

Cons:

Cost is a main drawback specially when businesses are looking at ways to cut costs and be more efficient. System issues are never ideal but our consultant has always found a work-around these (e.g. manual calculation, etc.).
