Clean, Sleek, and Helpful!

Its sleek and helpful because the form look is clean and simple to interact with, I have Tally helped me for multiple projects.

I like its clean and simple interface because it feels sleek and smooth, pleasing to see and interact.

Cons:

I don't really have issue to point out because it had been helpful so far, and I hope Tally continue its Free User features.

Switched from Google Forms to Tally because the forms actually looked good

My favourite thing about Tally is the UI (both for me as the form creator and for the person filling the form). Before Tally, I'd only used Google Forms and Typeform. Typeform's pricing wasn't a fit for me and I didn't like their one question per screen UI. And Google Forms always looked old-school and boring. So when I found Tally, the immediate attractor was how clean the UI looked. A form that actually looked good for once Since then, I've used Tally for various use cases. Used it to build a graded quiz (as a fun game for my newsletter). Used it to build a BuzzFeed-style quiz as a lead gen tactic for the SaaS company I worked for. Used it to collect registrations for a fun event with my friends. Used it to do a fun Valentine's Day quiz for my partner. Used it to collect feedback and testimonials from clients when I did consulting In all, I'm a big fan of Tally. I think it's a really great tool and the free tier is very generous

Pros:

Very easy to use! And they had a lot of templates I could lean on. Was wondering if I could create logic-based quizzes for lead generation and I found one once I checked templates. That quiz has been taken over 12k times now btw. I like that I was also able to embed the form into my website without any engineering help

Cons:

I did have some hesitation when I first signed up because it was so different from Google Forms UI which I was used to Would also be great if I could import an already-created Google Form into Tally. When I first signed up, I'd just created a 30-question quiz in Google Form (before I decided to try Tally) and it was frustrating having to create it all over again in Tally. Wish I could have just imported it all in and then edited

I don't like Typeform's one-question-at-a-time UI for the form filler. And the pricing wasn't a fit for me

Tally has by far better UI than both tools. The form actually looked good

Easy to use tool for a variety of employee surveys and analysis.

Easy to use, lots of choices of question formats. Easy to analyse at a glance too, but would prefer export to graph features or to tables as an addition.

Pros:

Really easy to customise and edit. All the suggestions for question formats that I needed were there. Also good to copy and paste a question format & change the phrasing. Good to interpret from, although export graphs would be useful (maybe you have them and I've not spotted them?)

Cons:

Extra lines being added after I copy and paste just made it a bit more fiddly. Generally good however.

Reasons for switching to Tally

My company was based in France and wanted to use this tool for all the offices internationally.

15/10 would recommend Tally to anyone. Well worth the price!

Where to even begin!? We began using Tally in late summer of this year after seeing other publishers utilize it for their news quiz. We were looking for a similar, cost-effective solution, and decided to give Tally a shot. I can hardly express how much we've loved using Tally for so many different use cases! Our publication has utilized Tally for everything from reader surveys and market research to interactive "news quizzes", general feedback forms, and, more recently, to encourage our readers to share their stories and submit photos and videos for use in our stories. Our team continually uses Tally to innovate new ways to interact with our readership and manage projects or internal forms. I would highly encourage any individual, organization, business, etc. to give Tally a try and see for yourself how easy it is to use, and how much simpler it makes day to day work and operations better!

- Ease of use, incredible amount of connectivity to other apps/softwares and general integrations into the systems we use daily. - Incredible customer support with super responsive and quality answers to general tech questions. - Cost effectiveness of the subscription price (especially for a nonprofit). - Variety of use and quickness of launching new forms.

Cons:

My only wish for future changes or updates would be an easier way to manage the workspace(s) and assign multiple "admin" permissions to the account.

Unreal Customer Service That Inspires Confidence and Unlocks Action

Amazing. I tell everyone about Tally. I use it professionally and personally. It inspires action in a variety of use cases. I wish I could meet the people who are building it.

Pros:

Tally is an incredible tool. It obviously is just simple/better/cleaner/easier than other form tools, but its flexibility invites creativity to a broad swath of use cases. It is incredibly easy to mirror your brand's aesthetic, and the embed everything (Stripe, Calendly) allow you to graduate from simple forms to complex user/purchase flows. We've used it for everything from user research to beta testing new features, to user onboarding. What really sets it apart is the customer support - I've never experienced a product at this price point with this high a touch of customer support that actually digs into the problem you are trying to solve vs. pushing out boilerplate macros. That makes the product incredibly confidence inspiring - you never feel alone building.

Cons:

Not a lot to say here - but sometimes (as with all), the AI tool can be a tad overconfident with regards to some of its abilities.

Much better customization (design/brand), easier use, more robust functionality.

LOVE THESE PEOPLE! Great tool for, in my case, data entry!

The form was pretty easy to build / stand up and again, I just love that they're as cool as they are with their Free Tier. I haven't worked in quite some time and really couldn't afford to have to pay at this point.

I sing their praises every chance I get due to my ability to use their free tier for a data entry task that I need while my personal app is down.

Cons:

I still can't believe that they have no default for the Time field, or control, or whatever it's officially called. I mean, would it really be that hard to let us have a "Now()" or something? I mean heck, let me on the team for long enough and I'll write it for you guys! ; ) No, but seriously, I've been doing software development for other 30 years. 🙂

Reasons for switching to Tally

They are very limited on the amount of 'entries' you get on their free tier, and as an unemployed person, this of course matters a lot.

The Single Best Survey Tool

Free, simple, easy-to-use. Works super well with my workflow as a designer. One of the products I cannot live without in my stack.

Cons:

Would like more options to slice the response data and correlate to what I'm trying to find out. Insights helps with making the survey better, but doesn't help with richer data, i.e. like sentiment analysis.

If you enjoy beautiful tools - Tally is the one.

Im a ux/ui designer and a systems analyst, I use forms a lot, sometimes for internal data gathering and sometimes for user facing purposes. Tally beautifully connects with other tools I use like Zapier, airtable, google spreadsheets.

Pros:

It is the simplest way to make a custom form that is either basic or uses conditional logic. love! the interface is easy on the eyes and intuitive to use.

Cons:

The images upload slowly, so it's not great for an image upload heavy form like a build inspection ect.
