About PayPal Point of Sale

PayPal Here is a mobile application that allows retailers and merchants to process transactions. The application uses a card reader device attached to a smartphone. This solution helps retailers and field sales staff to process transactions and send invoices.

PayPal Here comes with two device options Mobile card reader and a chip card reader. The Mobile Card Reader solution is designed to support debit and credit card payments only. The solution comes with a card reader device that connects smartphones' audio jacks.

PayPal Here's Chip Card Reader device supports multiple payments methods, such as magnetic stripe cards (i.e., debit and credit cards), chip cards and Apple Pay. The solution comes with a separate payment device that connects to smartphones using bluetooth pairing.

With the help of dashboards and reporting module users can prepare customized sales reports, retailers and field workers can get a view of their sales transactions in order to make decisions for handling field sales processes.

A Great Way to Accept Credit Cards With Your Cell Phone

I subscribe to another credit card processor, but all transactions must take place via the terminal in my office. With Pay Pal Here, I can accept a transaction anywhere else and then transfer the funds manually into my business checking account. Convenience is the main reason I use Pay Pal Here.

Pay Pal Here allows me to accept credit cards for my business using my cell phone either with the accompanying dongle or via inputting the card info on my touch screen.

Cons:

The only con I have is that transactions over $500 have very long holds placed on them before the funds are available.

Zettle gives us a ready-to-go software that’s super easy to use day to day. We take payments with the terminal and get a report and some links with other systems.

Cons:

I feel like the reports are limited sometimes if you don’t plug it into other accounting apps properly.

Easy to use, works fine

PayPal Zettle is used in our small shop for payments and sometimes also for keeping track of some products we sell more often.

Pros:

It’s simple to use and doesn’t take long to install, the card reader connects with the tablet and customers can pay quick without waiting too much. We also like that it goes directly with our PayPal account so we see the sales fast.

Cons:

But there’s not so many options to organize the inventory or change settings for discounts and taxes, so sometimes we need to find workarounds or do it manually after the day.

I started using PayPal Zettle for my little shop and honestly it made taking payments way less stressful. The card reader connects fast and the app just works, I don’t have to think too much about it during busy moments. It’s clean and does what it should.

Pros:

I no longer use Zettle but when I did it was everything it claims to be! It did everything from in store payments to online payments even On The Go payments! highly Recommend!

Cons:

the price change was not a deal breaker but did factor into my change of POS Systems.
