About CloudBooks

CloudBooks is an online invoicing software for freelancers and small business owners. You can create beautiful Invoices, send Estimates, log Expenses, track your time, manage your projects and team.

CloudBooks tracks where and how users are spending their time to ensure that invoices are accurately generated. Expenses are also tracked in real time and can be added to invoices. For collecting payments, clients can pay with credit cards, PayPal, checks or cash on a recurring or one-time basis.

For teams with multiple contributors, projects can be assigned and progress can be viewed per member or as a whole team. Time tracking and invoice generation can also be viewed jointly or by a single user, and permissions can be restricted on a member-by-member basis. Financial is captured by CloudBooks for profit analysis.

CloudBooks is free for individual freelancers and offers a tiered pricing model for small teams. Support articles are available online, as well as via phone and email.

Easy to setup and to use, we have started using the tool a month back for a foreign operation and that proved very convenient.

Cons:

They dont have client service

Bad over all. No client service at all. Have a big problem they dont have client service and dont replay to any mail.

I like that It is web based, very easy to quickly greatly invoices. I like that I can quickly get reports and a quick overview of my invoices.

Cons:

The new invoice layout can be a bit confusing. I would also like to see an iOS app to edit and send invoices. I would like to see integration with Square for payments.

CloudBooks slogan is "Send Invoices Online. Get Paid Faster", and this online billing and invoicing software offers a clean look that's complemented by pops of color. After a 30-day free trial, $2 per month for up to 25 customers and 3 users, next monthly subscription is $20 up to Unlimited customers and Unlimited users for unlimited invoices and estimates, time tracking and customer management, customizable invoices with a logo and much more. Dashboard: Well designed dashboard with links to invoicing and time keeping tasks, a daily, weekly and monthly revenue overview and reporting for overdue, outstanding and paid invoices. Reminders: Automatic late payment reminders via email. Cost: CloudBooks offers many features with no limits for a really low monthly cost. Mobile/Future plans : No mobile apps, although customers can pay invoices on their smart phone and CloudBooks can be used via a web browser on tablets. Mobile apps are in future plans. Gateways: Accepts payments from seven popular gateways, like Google Checkout and PayPal, which is enough for many businesses, but some others offer many more gateways.

Inexpensive My initial impression was that it could do all the things that I needed and none of the things that I did not.

Cons:

The least favorite part of my job is doing the accounting/bookkeeping/invoicing. The fact that the program does not have a lot of accounting features is very appealing however. The reports are clumsy And featureless. Perhaps if I was on it every day I would be able to get the the reports I'm looking for however based on my low skill level and Infrequent use It just does not seem to have the right flow. Although it is something that I need to use, I have been unable to get recurring invoices to work properly. There was a math error on one of my invoices where it calculated the total at the bottom of the invoice then said the amount due was 150.00 less. Naturally the customer paid the smaller amount .

Warning - Do not use this service

Terrible. Worst service I have ever used. I have gone back to Quickbooks for $4 more a month, but I am still paying for this service because they make it impossible. to cancel your service. Once you give them your credit card they will stop responding to you and continue to take your money.

I have been trying to cancel my service with this company for months. They will not respond to my e-mails and now I am going through my bank to have the charges stopped.

Cons:

This company appears to be run by one person trying to manage it all. He does not respond in a timely manner to e-mails.

Limitations .. can't display phone number on invoice. Would like to do an Estimate that says estimate then a quote from that.. maybe need better instructions.. I was told I can put in phone in customer info area, but it isn't then on the quote

Robust functionality - I can do almost everything I need. Cloud based application allows for users to see invoices from anywhere

Cons:

Not very user friendly. -difficult to select names and items when processing invoices. Sometimes the wrong item is picked and we have to start over -Requirements to enter email address even if I am not emailing an invoice -Customer phone number does not appear on the invoice
