About Cloud 9 Ortho
With over 28,000 users in 2,300 locations, the Cloud 9 cloud-based practice management solution has assisted orthodontics, DSOs, and pediatric dentistry groups by streamlining administrative tasks and enhancing staff productivity. Available 24/7 on any device, Cloud 9 provides access to practice data and images from anywhere. Features include comprehensive dental imaging and charting, customizable scheduling, claim processing, auto pay capabilities, CDT codes management, appointment reminders, and more.
From the patient's first interaction, Cloud 9 will track all patient activity and automate all administrative tasks until treatment. With the Patient Spotlight tool, orthodontists have access to all patient information, necessary for treatment. For upcoming appointments, Cloud 9 will automatically send customizable email and SMS appointment reminders to the right patients. Through the patient portal, patients can view all information relating to their account, complete medical forms, and make any outstanding payments.
For data integrity, all data is securely stored and backed up within Cloud 9's PCI-compliant practice management system.

Love Cloud9, But Not Planet DDS

Love the software and appeciate that Planet DDS probably was able to infuse some more capital into Cloud9 to make it better. But since Planet DDS took over, it is hard to get support with Cloud9 or Planet DDS.

The office was sold this program, given positive feedback and reviews only to be dismissed and dumped when they have not been able to fix their own software issues. The sales pitch that was given has not been what we have received. Little to no support or trained staff to help. They continue to put your requests off leaving accounts incorrect for months and months. This has created upset patients regarding their accounts. Management will not even call when requested. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Their offer is to buy another program from them to replace Pedo Cloud 9. An investment was already spent on this program, buying another is not an option.

We continuously strive for an excellent customer experience, and have made the following investments in just the last six months: (1) We have implemented a chat tool for customers to be able to reach out to support with less effort, (2) We have created an online Help Center so that customers can more efficiently submit and track tickets, and (3) We have increased our virtual learning offerings as well as modes of delivery, to ensure that customers can feel more control over their business critical software. We have many more customer-centric updates on the horizon, which continue to address the concerns and desires of our customers.

Cloud9- Is a Cloud-Based database better than an in-office server?

Our overall experience with Cloud9 has been positive since the transition to the current HTML version of the software from Silverlight. It has a few glitches and nuances, but Cloud 9 has a great forum for interaction and product recommendations that their head cheese,[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] , will respond to directly. We have had very few issues with their imaging software, which is a huge + in the overall experience department. The learning curve was a bit different, as we jumped from paper charts to Cloud9 digital charts at the same time. Almost all of our data was transferred over without issues (from three separate databases), and we cannot say enough about how the process has changed our lives. We could not have worked at home during COVID without it!

We had three separate databases with individual servers in each office, and the servers were reaching max capacity. To change over to Ortho2's cloud version, there were some obstacles that were not favorable (cost might have been one).
