I've found it to be a very effective tool for managing time professionally, especially in the context of technology or software development projects. It has benefited me in my daily tasks, allowing me to achieve goals faster and more easily.

Pros:

It has been a very useful tool for managing time efficiently, especially in projects with many tasks and distributed teams. I like that 7pace integrates very well with Visual Studio, which allows me to automatically track the time I spend working on each task. I also find the task tagging and assignment system very useful, as it allows me to categorize the time invested in different projects and specific tasks, giving me a clear view of how I'm allocating my time and whether I'm achieving my goals. This has been very helpful for my daily work, helping me stay organized and improve my performance.

Cons:

I have no complaints whatsoever; I haven't received bad service, and I have nothing to be upset about. However, perhaps the price can be a bit high, especially if you don't have a large team or if you don't use all the premium features.

7pace Timtracker is easy to keep track of my time spent at each work item I work on during the day. It helps the finance department to track the cost of each work item.

Cons:

If I add a time to a wrong date, I don't an option to change the date. I would have to delete the time entered and re-add the time to the correct date.

Much needed tool for time monitoring & tracking on Devops Board

Actually we were looking for a time based tracking to be used in Devops process customization. But on Devops extensions, this feature was very limited. Hence when we received this software on Azure Devops Marketplace, it supported us a lot in time tracking functionality. And hence we developed a SLA feature for our Devops based support tool in our Project.

It is very easy to integrate as the user just need to enable this extension available on Azure Devops Market Place. Through this app, much needed customization on Devops support boards is possible.

It is really very supportive software. Also it have a free edition also for community users.

Average Time Tracker With Very Little Setbacks. Seamless Integration Into Azure.

Overall, my experience with 7pace Timetracker has been pretty good. It is pretty functional in terms of entering time. I don't see this any better or worse than most time trackers.

It auto populates work items created on Azure after you type in the first few characters when entering your times on the calendar. It integrates very well into the Azure environment, making syncing between work items and time track seamless. Additionally, there are numerous ways to add times to a work item be it directly on the 7Pace Timetracker calendar view or directly on the work item card.

Cons:

Sometimes, it is confusing to find what you worked on on a certain day. However, this could easily be a me problem not something specific to the time tracker.

7 Pace Time Tracker

I have worked with many vendors and 7 Pace has incredible customer support. They are extremely responsive and always enjoyable to work with.

Pros:

Ease of use! Requires very little training to use. Saves time for our staff. People are entering their time in the same place they are doing the work. Accurate time reporting. Increased capitalization due to accurate and timely reporting. Benefits our finance team for determining capitalization. Ability to see the total time for Epics. This helps us manage the budget for the projects/products. Previously we had to wait for an excel spreadsheet to determine if we had over/under spent in labor hours per project, now its a click away. Love the reporting features, teams can quickly see in black and white where time is being spent in a sprint or over any time span.

Cons:

We would like to be able to pull a list of licensed users. As a work around 7 Pace is emailing us a list each week. We would like to be able to reject a submitted timesheet instead of having to email the individual.

Reasons for choosing 7pace Timetracker

We wanted an extension that integrated into Azure DevOps and it is important that 7 Pace is a Microsoft Top Publisher. Previously when we installed extensions that were NOT Top Publishers we experiences performance issues. Also, the cost per user was easy to justify as we were able to improve productivity due to our staff not having to enter time in a system outside of Azure DevOps and in a easy to use process.

Reasons for switching to 7pace Timetracker

Cherwell was very difficult to use and time consuming. It did not provide direct visibility to our IT Managers.

Great for Development and Scrum tracking

This is a great tool for us to track work with our developers, scrum masters, and managers. It helps us get a better picture of where time is spent and how to tweak things for efficiency.

This software is extremely easy to use. We have it linked with Microsoft ADO that helps us to track time spent on Scrum cards but also can be used by itself to log time like meetings and time off.

Cons:

The software works great. I feel that we may not be using it to it's full potential and could use a good demo for most users and admins.

Easy to Use and Easy to roll into any Azure DevOps/TFS software development processes

Every experience with the tool has been positive for both the team and management teams digesting the data coming out of it. 7Pace is also extremely responsive for any support issues or help required, they always seem eager and ready to help when I need them.

Originally 5 years ago we had this tool installed on premise integrated with TFS 2013, since then several upgrades of both TFS and Timetracker and we are in Azure DevOps and Timetracker cloud. Each installation and upgrade was fast and easy and we were able to keep all of our historical data along the way. The Work Item integraion in particular makes this very easy to introduce and enforce on a software development team.

Cons:

When it comes to reporting on time entries I still tend to favor exporting to Excel and do my work there, it would be nice to see some more advanced report building in the upcomming versions like custom pivoting on the tables.

Overall, the integration and features have allowed us to easily transition between platforms, setup new procedures for entries and approvals while maintaining controlled exposure both internally and externally as it relates to the associate time cards for budgeting, reporting, invoices and billing.

Ability to integrate with other applications along with ease of tracking time against work items. Export capabilities of time data for external reporting and invoicing.

Cons:

At rollout, an inability to copy forward work items used from the previous week. We were told this feature is coming but have yet to see it.
