1st Digital Signage attempt

Very solid. Their marketing did not oversell the features and their novice level tutorials and explanations were spot on. I was set up quickly and with no pain. Getting a free screen is a huge plus as well.

Pros:
Intuitive interface and quick setup - I was starting an evaluation of digital signage products for the dive shop I work at. I was looking for (hopefully) free and easy adminstration since I was setting it up for non-technical people. Play was the first Google hit on search and I didn't need to go any further. I had a screen linked and some trial slides set up in about 15 minutes. The playlist editor has a Powerpoint feel and should be easy for anyone who has created any kind of presentation before. Linking to screen and setting up a schedule was intuitive and help screens were helpful and to the point.
Cons:
The playlist editor is a bit clunky, especially the text editor. I was trying to do mulitline lists in a single text box with different point sizes and formatting on each line and was unable. The solution was to create individual text boxes which works ok but makes editing content a bit more tedious. The auto-alignment and spacing feature worked super well though so everything is lined up nice.

The product has been improved since we first started using it. The user interface is great and we can upload multiple types of media which is great because more than one team member contributes and we all don't upload the same type of media.
Cons:
I wish that once we have uploaded media, we could download the media we uploaded... not a big deal really, it would just be a convenience.

The ability to create professional style media with a novice friendly software can not be overstated. Play Digital Signage has provided a platform to create interactive displays as well as static information slides.

The online interface and software is incredibly user friendly. Setting up everything from time based revolving slides to touch screen interactive displays took minutes and the end product is professional in appearance. The greatest asset I constantly used was the tutorial videos. Every feature of the software has a "how to use" style video that is short and precise to how to use the feature! If you have questions not answered with the videos you can turn to their chat function. Fast, friendly and extremely dedicated staff will provide support to using the software. As someone with almost no professional training into using advanced media creating software I felt like a pro using Play Digital Signage!
Cons:
The only difficulty I experienced when using this software was initially assigning content to specific monitors. At first it was a little tricky figuring out which monitor and content were linked but after a few test runs all difficulty was eliminated.

It has excellent built-in tools for content customization, and no additional technical knowledge is required to publish—making it very easy to operate. The best part is that content can be edited and published from anywhere, and the signage does not need to remain online at all times. Whenever it reconnects to the internet, the updated content is automatically synced. If required, and based on the business profit generated, we will definitely opt for the paid service to add extra screens.

The best part is that it’s free for a single screen, which is especially helpful for small businesses in small towns like those in Bihar, India. I would definitely recommend it to small, mid-sized, and large business owners.
Cons:
So far, I haven’t noticed any cons after one week of use. will be give surly some if will find any while utilizing it as and when will use it.

Very comprehensive and full featured product, and you can start out for free. Paid versions allow for management of multiple screens, but otherwise all the features are available. Supports a variety of video players, from inexpensive sticks to Windows PC. Easy to use and deploy.
Cons:
I love that the first screen is free. You can fully test out the product without the need to enter a credit card and then the hassle of attempting to cancel before being billed. If you need to manage additional screens then that is a paid subscription, but the pricing is $8 screen and very reasonable.

Overall, I really like the available functionality and how easy it is to set up working digital signage. Unfortunately, however, the software's limitations are quickly reached, despite the many appealing features.

What I like most about Play Digital Signage is how easy it is to use. You don't need to be an IT expert to create professional-looking digital signage. I really like that the software for creating and editing playlists works similarly to PowerPoint, making it very straightforward. I haven't had time to explore all the integrated plugins yet, but I'm already a fan of the integrations!
Cons:
What I don't like about the service is that, for touch-sensitive screens, you essentially only have buttons (i.e. certain pre-defined regions) to navigate through slides of a predetermined playlist. There are no swipe gestures, which would allow for a totally different range of transitions or menu styles. I would also like to add a search function to the screen to help people find rooms and directions in our building, but as far as I could see, this option is not available either.

Play Digital Signage - when you have given up on the other guys...

My experience with Play Digital has been great. I tried other programs including Samsungs proprietary app and Play Digital is, by far, the easiest to install and quickly set up.

Play Digital is easy to learn and use. I use it on a Samsung Tizen and it was easy to install. I tried a few other apps before finding Play Digital and they were not as easy to use and install. I also appreciate Play Digital's library of Help Files.
Cons:
I would like to see a few more plugins with more options for displaying photos and videos. I would also like to see the Capta app more fully integrated with Play.
