SQUEAKS is a Smart Factory digital communication and collaboration platform that helps teams better understand "what's important now" while at the same time more effectively solve problems that are creating line stoppages, quality issues, and reduced production.
SQUEAKS users receive, interact with and share messages from a wide variety of data sources on the network to include machines and plant floor automation, databases, web applications, business applications, Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, video streams and files, IGear developed plug-ins for tracking safety events, quality alerts, and hourly production and downtime, and more.
All levels of manufacturing personnel from team members to plant management use SQUEAKS to better communicate and collaborate around important issues.

Squeaks lets us react to trouble before it's a problem.

Our greatest usage of Squeaks is for machine function notification. We are starting to look at some of the other features that are available such as Info boards.

I/Gear Squeaks provided multiple solutions

Squeaks allows us to solve several problems. The major problem is communication. Squeaks helps us to create dynamic dashboard and communication screens that provide key information to our machine operators, employees, and key staff in order to make better decisions quickly to help support our business.

Pros:

Simple installation, swissknife of solutions from creating dashboards for managers, to providing a robust communication system for employees. Easy to use and once it's installed it's very self-contained. We love the ability of being able to solve more than one problem using the product. It's perfect for allowing communication between Human Resources and the employees and we can take the same technology to the shop floor and increase our Safety, Quality, and Production by communicating those metrics to our employees.

Cons:

We do not have any cons at this time. Anytime we've discovered a problem, the I/Gear team quickly assisted us with solutions. Their support is very responsive and ready to help.

Some issues with recent updates breaking some metrics from reporting, but support figured it out and got us back up and running.

Pros:

The software gives us visibility to machine status and performance, both on large screen TVs and on the mobile phones. Our plant managers specifically like the ability to see the machine status and performance when not in the office from their mobile phones. We use "Call for Templates" at our presses. Press operators can make requests to tow motor drivers. e.g. Coil needed, Scrap needs to be removed, a finished container needs to be stocked. This improved communication reduces downtime at the presses.

Cons:

Our supervisors receive SQUEAKS when exceptions occur in our processes. We would like to see additional filtering capabilities so they can easily identify the critical issues without having to swipe through other non-critical ones.

Squeaks - A great tool for your team to communicate with your equipment and each other!

We are still growing our system, but we are now using Squeaks for several things, including: Realtime machine speeds, certain Oven and Machine faults that need quick response, and trending of certain machine parameters.

Pros:

Really like how the machine interfaces are driven from the Connect DTU, this lets me pull in almost any device on the manufacturing plant floor. I also like having the Android and Apple apps, this makes it easy for everyone to stay in the loop while they are on the go.

Cons:

I don't think I have any Cons, but I would say that Squeaks can be setup as simple or complex as you want. Just do some planning and utilize tech support when you hit a snag.
