A Great Platform for Startup and Growing Companies

Operix has been a solid platform for us over the last 2 years, and their support has always been pleasant to work with. The systems straightforward, easy to train on, and served us well as we grew. We’ve simply reached a point now where we need a more advanced ERP & a CRM, so we’re transitioning out of QuickBooks to something else. The upside to Operix / Sage Field Operations is that your field team won’t need to relearn their workflow if you move forward into one of their next ERP systems such as Sage100, Sage 300, or Sage Intaact. Only the back-office processes will change making the swap easier.

Pros:
Operix’s work order management feels very similar to other systems I’ve used and is easy to navigate. It’s a solid, budget-friendly option to start with, and it integrates well with QuickBooks.
Cons:
Technical support can be slow to respond, and the platform would benefit from further development. It’s really built for residential or light commercial work, though we’ve managed to adapt it for larger buildings in the HVAC industry. The agreement features, in particular, could use stronger enhancements, I would like them to have more flexibility. It also doesn’t offer any options to integrate with a CRM program. This may be intentional as Operix (to me) is a stepping stone into their next product lines such as Sage Field Operations.

Operix has indeed revolutionized the way field operations are conducted within the company. The software is easy to use and the fact that everything, right from creating an invoice to providing support to the technicians is available in one place and cutting down the mistakes.
Cons:
There was a real-time geographical relationship between the technicians at the field and a central system, and they experienced some lag at some times. This led to changes in the job completion statuses and billing until resolved manually.
