About Droid Transfer

Droid Transfer is a Windows application which works alongside a free Android app, Transfer Companion, allowing you to wirelessly share files between your Android Phone and your Windows PC. The app lets you save your Android SMS in PDF, HTML, CSV or Text formats, including any photos and videos sent in your messages. You can also print SMS directly from Droid Transfer running on your PC. Your Android music collection can be viewed and wirelessly streamed through your PC, as well as transferred between your Android device and your PC. Sync iTunes with your Android device. Wirelessly copy your photos from your Phone to your PC for safekeeping. View your photos full size on your PC, select and delete photos on your Phone quickly and easily. Export Contacts from Android to Windows as VCF contact files, which can be used in any contacts address book application. Display Call Logs from your Android Phone and save them to your PC in a variety of file formats or print the logs directly to your PC connected printer. Cons:

Never faced any hiccups with this amazingly fast and reliable software. Droid transfer really deserves a thumbs up.

droid transfer isn't too shabby

It got the job done, and it was pretty quick about it

It's lack of pre-instslled drivers to download for PC would be great

One-sided conversation; Can't see my side of the conversation

I made the mistake of jumping right in for the full $35 license. Unfortunately the software does not support Advanced Messaging - which to me is just basic messaging. So I can only see received messages and not my side of the conversation.

Buyer beware: If you want this for your Android text messages, check first to see if your text messages are using Advanced Messaging (for example AT&T or Cricket which uses AT&T towers). If you are using Advanced Messaging you will not see your own side of the conversation. Read this article: [sensitive content hidden]

Thank you for your review. Please be advised that Droid Transfer only currently supports standard SMS and MMS messages as well as standard RCS messaging, however some proprietary advanced messaging formats may not be supported. Advanced messaging is not supported as introduces non-standard additions to messages, which are different for each operator. It is possible to turn off Advanced Messages in devices settings / options, however please note that changing this option will not convert your existing Advanced messages into standard SMS / MMS messages.
