About pCloud Business

pCloud is a cloud-based digital asset management tool that provides an integrated file sharing platform where users can upload files and documents. Users can manage access to business data through role-based access permissions, restore previous versions of files, track downloads and more.

pCloud can help facilitate collaboration between users through configurable data storage and file sharing tools. Users can be organized into teams, and administrators can set group permissions or give specific access permissions to individual accounts.

Users can manage team workflows using shared folders. The application allows users to comment on files and folders with permission-controlled comments. pCloud also provides an activity-monitoring module that records account activity in logs, and users can restore files to previous versions.

The software is available with monthly or annual subscription. Each account is assigned an account manager. Email tech support is available 24/7 to solve your doubts and help you out.

For daily usage, the overall experience is good so far. The should really work on improving server quality.

Pros:

The sync and drive features are great. It's fair sharing system that I find most appealing. Even google drive is missing on this point.

Cons:

Need to be careful while choosing this software. Doesn't handle large files very well. Uploading may be possible, but downloading can be slow and totally impossible sometimes.

Pros:

Love the media player that allows you to play your music and video files right from within the app. When you share files it lets the recipient play the files without downloading which is great for musicians. Love that the app backs up your mobile devices media files too. The price point is very fair for the amount of storage you get and they have a lifetime option as well.

Cons:

I do wish the media player saved your spot when you close and open the file. It starts from the beginning whenever you close and reopen the file.

pcloud for Education Buissness

I already moved all my data, documents and files into the pCloud. Thanks to the Restore feature i stopped making endless backups and different version of the documents. I already planning on moving all my personal data into the pcloud too.

Pros:

I like that it is one time payment, insted of subscription model. It make me feel safe, that my data is secure even when i would, for example, go bancrupt and couldn't afford payment. Restore feature is perfect, it saved my bussiness few times, it makes my data storage stress-free. Synchronization is instant and the access managment is easy and intuitive. I tried a lot of data managment software and so far pCloud is the number one without any doubt. I use it on Mac, on Windows, and mobiles.

Cons:

I would like it to make some kind of document editing/collaborating inside of pCloud Drive. Other than that i really can't think of any disadvantages of this software.

It worked without any troubles on all my devices, it was faster, cheaper. Access managment was perfect, while in alternatives products there was constant troubles with that. I was amazed with the Restore option, especially with restoring exact time version of a file.

Default Backup Use - Great Lifetime Deals for huge storage!

This is a really cheap solution to provide temporary upload/download folder for internal sharing or with the client. It can be used for backup for other cloud services but the reliability or unknown issues of corrupted files scares me. Support do not provide too much care into the integrity of the data storage. The best thing about pCloud is the lifetime large storage space with the less worry of having default risk compared to some of the smaller players.

1. Low price for a huge lifetime access cloud storage2. Simple and easy to use interface3. Available on Mobile and work like a file explorer. 4. Easy to create share folder/file links

Cons:

1. Files loaded into pCloud risked to be corrupted2. Upload Speed periodically becomes very slow especially for the mobile version3. Mobile Version: During "Share via" upload to pCloud, there is no "search" function to help locate the specific upload folder. This makes it hard when there is many folders within a folder (need to scroll up and down and eyeball for the correct folder).4. Encryption require further subscription5. Unfriendly API

For all the alternatives (Dropbox, onedrive, Box, Google Drive), it is mainly due to price.For important storage, we still continue to use the more reliable cloud storage but for temporary or internal sharing, we have migrated to pCloud. We still use pCloud as a secondary backup.

It's really great to use!

Overall it was a good experience. I just wish that the database was backed up properly. We had multiple copies and file versions due to the issues we experienced, but overall it was good to see what we can do with it. You can backup most of your files; but don't backup your quickbooks, or other programs that use a database. The syncing part can cause issues when you access those programs and create duplicate files.

Pros:

I love how easy it is to organize users, and files on the drive and in the cloud. The system makes it easy to hide and setup your users.

Cons:

It was harder to give some users more access to subfolders that others weren't supposed to have access to that were in the same group. Could use some tweaking there. I also did not like that all the users had their own storage. I want to be able to access everyone's files, as the administrator.

It was more affordable. It contains capabilities that we needed.

Dropbox was too expensive, and they would not give the same storage access that pcloud will give me.

The best app to back up and store your files :)

I just love pc cloud everyone on the market should own one already! As now you can extend till 10tb of storage that great!

Pros:

Since I putted my hand on this app I stoped using wetransfer for file transfers! So glad I have this as my phones and computers have an automatic back up! The best is available on iPhone as a cloud to use so I use it instead of Apple iCloud!

Cons:

I wish they could have the way to record a video directly to pc cloud!

Good product overall, complicated pricing.

Pcloud business did help us with document storage and management, sharing and collaboration, but ultimately the cons lead me to stop using it. While we used it we did benefit from it.

Pros:

I like the ease of accessibility for people using different operating systems, great backup and recovery, access on several devices at no extra charge, archive document feature, and that you can store files from your old platform like Google drive. I also like that it's easy to share and collaborate with other people even if they don't use pcloud business. Pcloud business is also secure and uses great encryption.

Cons:

While some of the prices are good, there are a lot of add on or separate features that get expensive and confusing. There are some features that are advertised as free but it's actually only free for a period of time. Again it gets confusing trying to keep up with all that. Pcloud business can also be slow and have problems syncing properly.

Overall it is good software and I had a great experience with it except for the syncing problem which I have experienced some time but other than that the software is great for what it was designed to do.

Cons:

Syncing can be a problem with pCloud because sometimes the software does not sync very well causing the file to be corrupted.

A friend in the cloud

My experience has been wonderful, I have had no problems, I have been able to recover some lost or deleted files from my computer thanks to the fact that it keeps a file history for 30 days where it allows recovering from individual files to complete folders.

For more than 4 years I have kept my files synchronized with pCloud, I have never had problems, I have kept the files synchronized on 3 computers and backed up securely at the moment. pCloud is like an hard drive when you installing it is added as one more drive in my computer.

Cons:

It does not integrate an online file editor as well as Google Drive that allows you to edit Word files online without opening them on the computer.
