Verizon Connect Reveal is a cloud-based fleet management solution suitable for small and mid-sized companies. Users can view all drivers on a map and automatically detect their behavior such as harsh braking, quick starts, hard corning and other vehicle misuses. The solution sends real-time push alerts to notify dispatchers and supervisors of dangerous driver behavior. It provides a dynamic map view of drivers so that dispatchers are able to quote arrival time to customers.

Verizon Connect Reveal provides mobile apps for iOS and Android devices for drivers to track their own performance through a smartphone. Once drivers log in, they can view nearby company vehicles and receive their assignment. The Today view shows them what stops are scheduled and a scorecard to see how they compare with other drivers using metrics such as the number of stops, idling and speeding. The mobile app provides turn-by-turn navigation through Google maps.

Verizon Connect Review

Pros

This is a good option for small level fleets. Coming from a major fleet operation to a smaller start up, I see the advantages of being able to quickly install the verizon connect platform to vehicles.

Cons

I wish there were more dashboards and pre-made alert templates rather than having to install on your own. I like the replay functionality but sometimes it can be difficult to follow.

Good ELD and Tracking option for Trucking Companies

Verizon Connect has helped our business get in compliance with the new FMCSA ELD mandate relatively easily. They completed the installation on site and we were able to implement the new ELDs quickly and easily. The software and back office all work well with one another.

Pros

Tracking option is excellent. ELD option is easy to use for drivers. The maintenance option helps our fleet stay on top of our preventive maintenance scheduling. IFTA reporting is done with just a few clicks of the mouse. Offers several reporting options to keep track of every aspect of your business.

Cons

Syncing with engine diagnostics fails sometimes. Having trouble with identifying unassigned miles. Editing options are difficult to do sometimes.

Always know where your vehicles are.

Pros

Having the ability to know where each vehicle is at any point in time is very important to us. This software allows us to track stops with exact addresses and times. We have used this information to be able to dispute or admit traffic infractions.

Pros

Software works fine and is easy to use. Mobile app and desktop functionality works well. Customer service is what is severely lacking

Cons

Absolutely horrible customer service!! There is never ONE time that I am not on the phone for less than 20 minutes even if I need a small change. Verizon has ruined this Fleetmatics company when it purchased them and we are not very unhappy with the service. I will never refer anyone to Verizon Reveal for these reasons.

New ELD's with Verizon Connect formerly Fleetmatics

I think it would be a lovely service once all the bugs are worked out of either the tablet or the connectivity. There are an amazing amount of features available that are really cool and can come in handy. Although, I do hope they will get better so that our drivers can operate with them like they are intended.

Pros

I'm not quite sure if the issues that our company has had with the new ELD's is a software matter or rather with our hardware. The main issues our drivers have had are with status changing by itself. A good example, when a driver has changed status to off duty for 30 min, break, suddenly the status changes on its own back to driving or something. We've had several occasions where the drivers havent been able to use the ELD's due to either not being able to log in and get to the dashboard or the app just not refresing .

This may be a better fit for a small fleet or Class C vehicle fleet.

We have been extremely pleased with our value...cost vs benefits it is providing. We have no worries any longer about our vehicle usages by our employees as well as being able to let customers know when our trucks have been at their homes and for how long.

We are very pleased with Verizon Connect Reveal!

Verizon Connect Reveal is very easy to use. The customer support is excellent! It saves us money by allowing us to track our vehicles and know where are employees are at. We know which drivers are speeding and driving the vehicles harshly. I schedule a weekly report to see who is speeding and driving the vehicles harshly. I also schedule a Time Card Report each week so that I compare their time sheets to it. We are very happy with the quality and service we have received!

Pros

I love how easy the software is to use! The live map shows you were all your trucks and equipment are. You can easily tell if they are moving, stopped, or idling. We recently had a truck stolen and without Verizon Connect we probably wouldn't have found our vehicle for days but we got our truck back the same day with no damage!

Cons

I have the most difficulty keying in the key fob numbers. Not that it hard but the numbers on the fobs are very difficult to see!
