Powerful and easy-to-use business process automation tool for SharePoint

We are using it for contract management, HR documents flows and other business processes. It allows as to manage easily status of documents.

Pros:

Product has wide choice of functional elements, processes are being built using convenient graphical designer tool, not requiring software developer skills. Process can be easily built and managed by business people. Excellent feature is user substitution, which applies also to the tasks, which are already assigned and active

Don't have any cons. Product is easy understandable and easy-to-use

Pros:

I'm just used to it.. The maintainers of the program help with the implementation of various adjustments that we need.

Cons:

Constant system disturbances (from time to time it is not possible to e-sign documents, it is often impossible to open documents - error messages appear, slow operation). Difficult to manage the collected data from other programs. There are sections that cannot be automated, system is not user friedly and intuitive.

This review does not apply to Datapolis Process System itself but the whole set of features implemented in the client's environment (by a third party). DPS is not responsible for problems the client rises as with this client it does not serve described functionalities (e-signing documents, opening documents etc). Unfortunately this review is a misunderstanding.

Access control and business process control are very important. Easy to use (not for everyone) and integrated with SAP.

Cons:

More attachements at the same time, better searching of documents and not so complicated conditions will be appreciated.

Pros:

1. It´s a powerful state based workflow engine 2. It´s intuitive and easy to learn (all of our consultants can configure workflows) 3. Creating your own activities is a powerful feature and gives you lots of flexibility during the development of solutions

Cons:

1. At several stages we experienced severe performance issues, which also had to do with the massive complexity of our solutions. On the other hand, with the help of the Datapolis team, in the end we were always able to resolve these. 2. Small market share, which makes it always a harder sale.

Reasons for choosing Datapolis Process System

At the time we selected Datapolis, we looked at its major competitors too, but concluded that Datapolis had the best state based workflow engine. So far we did not regret this decision.

Automating BPM in SharePoint

Datapolis Process System allowed to streamline in house processes. And, thanks to possibility of quick and easy modifications of workflows, does not make us "prisoners" of procedures.

Datapolis Process System is great tool to automate your Business Processes in SharePoint. Lots of possibilities, easy to create and modify workflows. No coding needed (although possible).

Cons:

It needs SharePoint. It's advantage (gives you a lot of features) and disadvantage (inherits some constraints of SharePoint) in the same time.

Pros:

Easy to design the flow. Easy to apply the specifica features inside the action. We can use the nested instructions. We can use HTML to design the user interface and email body.

Cons:

We can't copy and paste the workflow into another site. We'll be useful to have a graphic tool inside to design the user interface.

Datapolis Process System

I work with this product from sharepoint 2010 to 2016. Product have passed some crucial improvements to generate value for new versions of sharepoint. I feel lack of functionalities for O365 and I hope it will appear in near future

Ease of workflow building. Way of work where I can sit with business people and design together an automated way of work.

Cons:

There is no good form builder. After change of workflow I need to restart all active instances which is sometimes anoying
