Pros:

I like how simple it is to navigate and create your barcode. It makes the process painless unlike some other products

Cons:

Sometimes the pdf might take a bit to generate. Not a big deal as it never delays over 1 minute afterall.

Pros:

The Codesoft program is extremely easy to use. We create MH10 labels, shipping labels, bundle tickets for piece work for production.

Cons:

It was a little difficult to implement with our software company but the issues were not with Codesoft they were with the programmers on our side. Once they figured it out it was working right away.

When we have internet or network issues, the software does not work.

Great software to label our manufactured parts

Pros:

Codesoft is easy to use and also to customize. We use it every day to label all of our manufactured part boxes before shipping them out.

Cons:

The only con that I can think of is aligning the text boxes on the label format screen sometimes takes patience to get them lined up with other text boxes.

The ability to import serial numbers and device mac addresses is crucial. Being able to print and label our customized products is a feature we use every week.

Cons:

Have not been able to automate batch printing, so would like a wizard or easier steps to accomplish this.

Codesoft Ease of Use

Overall, the software works for us. Especially with the amount of labels we print daily. I highly recommend it for regular lab usage.

Pros:

The software worked for us since it was deployed back in 2007. We've been using a Brady desk printer for our labs labelling needs. Mostly for glassware labelling. Now we've come to use it for our HPLC columns, GC columns, and other lab instruments as well.

Cons:

Sometimes the software does not work with new pc updates. We lose some functionality after the update and we end up asking for assistance from our local IT to update the software as well. And that usually fixes the issue.

Reasons for choosing CODESOFT

Was actually recommended to us due to the amount of labels we make daily and the type of material our label needs to be. We usually put on glassware's where in some instances it gets in contact or soiled with the product. The label stays on and the information does not wash off. Overall, it's the best for our site.
