About LawBillity

LawBillity is a cloud-based billing software that helps businesses in legal practice, law firms, and attorneys to manage all of their data, from client information to billing and invoicing. It helps users to store client details, create invoices, and track time spent on projects. It enables supervisors to review submitted hours, approve paid or unpaid leaves, and handle the team's expenses as well.

LawBillity helps users to view payment and invoice status, review billable as well as non-billable hours, and run reports. Additionally, it provides a GPS tracking functionality that lets administrators view the real-time locations of lawyers to avoid discrepancies in travel expenses.

Easy to use. Allows us to quickly generate a variety of invoices to comply with specific client requests.

Cons:

As a partner, I review and revise billing entries. For some reason, the program is a bit slow when attempting to revise billing entries on specific invoices.

Customer Support is NOT helpful

AWFUL.. After several very frustrating months, we began searching for a new platform that would better support a law firm in AMERICA. We have found another platform to use for our time tracking, billing, client support and payment. Have slowly moved off the platform and will be cancelling before your annual renewal.

Pros:

Mobile app was nice. But almost all platforms have mobile apps.

Cons:

The customer support team was NOT helpful. One told me they had never been on the platform. Would take my questions and email me later after they could ask the developer. But never actually sent me answer or provide the help to fix a problem or answer the questions.

The software is easy to use and offers most of the same features as the software used by the big firms but at a fraction of the price.

Cons:

There is no spell check feature which is essential for legal billing.

Pros:

The product is well rounded for law practice time keeping and invoicing.

Cons:

The integration with LawPay could be better. There have been times that the payment links sent with the invoices via email did not work. Also, when sending the invoices through Lawbillity, there is no option to pay via eCheck, whereas if I send the invoices directly through LawPay, my clients can pay via eCheck.

Reasons for switching to LawBillity

While Time59 was cheaper, it was not as robust and took longer to produce invoices.

Pros:

It’s very easy to use and the mobile app is very useful. However they should update the mobile app more often. It would be nice if the mobile app synced automatically instead of having to sync manually.

Cons:

The mobile app needs to be updated more frequently. Auto-sync would be a nice feature

Cons:

Constant marketing pop ups. When I'm using the software, there's always something in the bottom, right hand corner promoting something. I already own the software, leave me alone.
