Super Reliable Payments

With Spreedly we are now able to accept and split many more payment types and be more flexible with how our customer choose to shop on our site.

Pros:

We love how flexible Spreedly was with our current payment authentication provider. We sell across the world and need the ability to split payments and payment types across orders. Spreedly handles this with ease.

Cons:

The main con I would warn people about is that integration can be a bit time consuming. We have integrated many many tools over the years and Spreedly was one of the hardest. The customer service team was a huge help to us, but the initial estimates that we planned on turned out to be unrealistic.

Our positive experience with Spreedly

It was really good. Spreedly allowed us to integrate and switch between multiple payment processors.

Pros:

When we integrated with it we could still use Stripe and we didn't lose our customers payment information.

Cons:

The vaulting feature is great but a bit pricey

Not having to worry about card tokenisation and having a separate 3ds allows for better control.

Cons:

API quota makes it difficult to stay upto date with the payment and relies on webhook.

It is easy to set up and it "just works" The reporting is a bit lacking, though.

Setup is easy. The API is pretty straightforward.

Cons:

The reporting capabilities are pretty bad. And searching for payments. We do both of these things outside of Spreedly.

Reasons for switching to Spreedly

Cost was a big factor in it. I wasn't part of the decision, though.

An easy to use multi-processor gateway and token vault with advanced payment orchestration capabilities

Overall, Spreedly has been a great partner. They are responsive to our needs and our business use cases and they are eager to grow with us as we continue to use their products to push our offerings further out on the edge of available payments technology for our customers. They have an open and transparent product road map and they are working on enhancements that matter to our business.

Pros:

Spreedly is easy to understand and implement. The vaulting is seamless and allows use of payment methods across multiple processing endpoints. This is a perfect choice for commerce platforms that need to support more than one payment processing backend. Spreedly has advanced features attached to the vault, such as the ability to get Network Tokens, support for digital wallets and "the pays", and allows for easy payment orchestration.

Cons:

Some of Spreedly's integrations are not as robust as others. If you end up having to use an integration that was built a while ago or is not used by a lot of other Spreedly customers, features may not be as rich as they are for some of the more popular integrations.

Great for a smaller team

Good! Our team used to consist of only 2 developers, so building an integration for each payment provider used by our clients wasn't an option. Spreedly made it easy for a small team to support most major providers.

Good Product with support for many gateways

The support is very good they always get back to me quickly.

The ability to easily support new gateways with the same or similar interface

Cons:

We have to pay to test our integration, it means in practise we run far fewer automated tests against Spreedly and this does increase the risk of adding a bug in our integration.
