Salesforce and Jira Connector is designed for teams that operate in both Salesforce and Jira and want to eliminate manual data entry between the two platforms. Once connected, teams can sync Jira and Salesforce data in a way that matches their workflows, supporting reliable synchronization of Jira Issues, statuses, comments and attachments. The connector allows linking Jira Issues to any Salesforce object, including both standard and custom objects and supports complex relationships for seamless connection between engineering work and business records.

Peeklogic Jira Connector provides a powerful embedded component within Salesforce, enabling users to work directly with Jira Issues without leaving Salesforce. Users can view, create, edit, link and comment on Jira Issues, manage Sub-Tasks and Linked Issues, review Activity History, manage Jira Watchers and search for issues by Fix Versions. Pros:
The best is that it is available in the AppExchange in Salesforce so you don't need to look for it. It has 2 ways synchronization and allows for automated workflows.
Cons:
Besides Jira being a little difficult for first-time users once you get to understand it it will make Project Management workflows a breeze.

Reasons for choosing Salesforce and Jira Connector

As we were already using Salesforce and had invested heavily on the platform finding an connector to streamline our workflows into Projects was a plus.

What I love most is how it creates a single source of truth; our support agents can see live Jira updates right inside Salesforce, which means they aren't constantly Slack-ing developers for status reports on bugs. The automated syncing is incredibly reliable, and being able to link specific cases to engineering tickets ensures that nothing falls through the cracks, allowing us to give customers much more accurate timelines.
Cons:
The configuration can be a bit intimidating if you aren't a seasoned admin; there are a lot of permissions to toggle.

Easy to do the initial set up and deployment. Lots of options to add on layouts and filter by projects to specific objects in Salesforce ie. limiting the Jira projects that can be selected through the Case object.
Cons:
With lots of flexibility in the integration, there is a lot of options and settings needed to go the next step with the product. It can require a good amount of set up to get an indepth integration.
