An excellent accounting and billing Software for Law firms

Overall, I am very happy with this product. It helps to streamline the process, standardize operations and automate several tasks, saving a lot of time and money.

It is a very scalable product and packs a lot of features including automations in processes. It is web based, so more like cloud service and convenience to use from any machine without local installation.

Cons:

It has limited scope for customization. Also, it does not allow for integration with other software beyond a certain extent.

Rogue Privacy Practices & Systematic Culture Destruction

Elite is a sinking ship masquerading as an enterprise solution. As a vendor, they demonstrate contempt for both user privacy (evidenced by CCPA violations) and employee dignity (serial mass terminations under successive ownership regimes). The product roadmap is hostage to financial engineering rather than customer needs. Thomson Reuters built something valuable; TPG and Francisco Partners have weaponized it into a cash extraction vehicle while the culture implodes. Any law firm serious about privacy compliance should avoid this vendor entirely. I have filed formal complaints with California regulators (CPPA, FTC) documenting their non-compliance with opt-out requirements. This is not a software problem—it's a governance and ethics problem.

Cons:

Systematic privacy violations; complete absence of consumer opt-out mechanisms despite handling sensitive law firm data. Website deploys tracking technology (Google Analytics, Pardot, LinkedIn Insight Tag) without consent, ignores legally binding opt-out signals (GPC), and lacks mandatory "Do Not Sell" links. The former parent company (TPG) has destroyed institutional culture through repeated ownership changes every 18-24 months, resulting in mass layoffs, leadership chaos, and eroded employee trust. Zero commitment to long-term vision or employee welfare.

Easy access for pre-bills

Overall my experience has been pretty positive I’ve really only used it to enter dockets to search clients and matter names and for generating pre-bills.

I like that I can generate the pre-bills and send them right to my own email with just one click and adding my email of course.

Cons:

I don’t like the fact that I have to add my email Address into the PRINT section every time I want to send the prebill to myself or maybe I just haven’t figured out how to do that

Great for large firms

I implemented Elite a few years ago for a smaller firm -- there are many feature which only a mid to large size firm would every need. That being said, I liked the power of the software and versatility.
