PCMover 2026: Benefits, Features & Pricing

I purchased a new computer with a new SSD hard drive. I needed to transfer the programs from the old computer to the new computer.

Purchasing the PacMover has been life changing for me, especially because i am a freelancer. It helped me so much by moving all my confidential information without it being lost or corrupted. I had large amount of data to transfer, yes it was slow but at the end it was super worth it because everything was perfectly good nothing was left behind. PCMover is more convenient more than other alternative movers.

I bought PCMover based on the recommendation of Microsoft, as that is the only option they offer to simply migrate information from one Windows 10 computer to another. Not only did it fail to correctly copy the applications, it damaged the .NET framework on the new computer. I wound up have to reset the new computer back to factory and simply re-install the apps and manually copy the data. I requested a refund, and it's been over a week that they have been "examining the log files to see why it failed before giving me a refund." Needless to say, I'd avoid this product.

I have been using a Dell Windows 7 laptop for over 10 years. I put off getting a new computer because I dreaded the hassle of moving everything from my old one. In fact, I bought a Dell Windows 11 laptop which sat on the shelf for a year because I was avoiding the big move. I had way too many emails in Thunderbird and, although I've been trying to clean them out, was afraid that would bog down the move as well. I was not looking forward to finding the installers and registration numbers for all of my applications. I finally got tired of watching the spinning blue circle on my Windows 7. I found PC Mover and decided to see if it lived up to the description. From my point of view it did, and more! The big move took about a day and a half, probably because my old laptop had so much on it and was so short on RAM and processing speed. Almost all of my applications carried over successfully without having to reinstall them, including an AppleWorks program from 1998 I still use occasionally! You can call me an old fogey (and you'd be right) but I'm a bit frustrated with myself for waiting so long to make the move. I splurged for more RAM & processing speed on my new laptop so it makes me cringe a bit thinking about how much time I wasted waiting on the spinning blue circle on my old laptop to go away. From other reviews not everyone has the same success but it was worth every penny to me!

Overall the experience with PCmover has been great. If you can read English, it's easy to use. It's fast, if you have the USB 3.0 cable, but also has a good transfer speed through a strong internet connection. And most importantly to us, it's safe. No external or online storage needed.

It is easy to understand the steps in the guide if you are comfortable with reading in english. All in all, it is easy to use, very fast in transfer speed and overall a great hassle free experience.

Most useful for people less experienced in moving stuff from one pc to another - it would probably be quicker to save your docs, downloads etc and do a clean install
