Business owner likes bexio - Accountant not

Great for small businesses!

Pros:

For me as a small business owner the usage of the software is quite simple. I can add incoming invoices with ease. Create simple invoices for my customers and sync my bank accounts.

Cons:

My accountant does not like the software. He tells me that he is missing professional features to work more efficient. Unfortunately I also have a list of things I would like to have improved to get a more efficient work. Unfortunately the software is sometimes quite slow and the syncing to my bank account is often broken.

Terrible experience with Bexio, avoid.

Terrible experience with Bexio, avoid. I really wanted to use and like it, but then i had a taste of how they handle customers and I will gladly use anything else, no matter how good they might be. I received a sales call after signing up for a trial. I was told certain features were there, I just need to add my bank account info. I was offered amazing discounts in order to sign a 1 year contract right there on the call, which I did. By the time I could test the whole thing, the trial had expired. The sticker is, the feature i was promised was actually an upsell, and BECAUSE I DID NOT ASK IF IT COSTS EXTRA, they did not tell me. By the time i found out, the 30 day trial expired. I politely asked Bexio to cancel anyway, but with many emails and phone calls they insisted that i signed the contract and I have to pay and it doesn't matter. Legally they are right, but its no way to run a business - just trying to get people to sign contracts and then extract money from unhappy people. I explained that this is unhealthy business practice, but they would rather get a few hundred francs from an unsatisfied potential customer than create a fan base of happy customers. My advise, find a company that has a better customer service policy,

only want to get money, don't care about customers, they dont understand that unhappy customers are not going to help them grow their business.

Just don't use it. It's dead and they are not willing to update anymore

I just regret it. I will change as soon as I can for something a bit more serious and that is still evolving. If you are a small business, don't use it. You will regret it.

Pros:

Simple to use on a lot of aspects. Focused on Swiss law (QR invoice, basic HR module, VAT calculations, ...). Price is ok.

Cons:

The software is dead. There aren't any new features for years. Small things need dozen of clicks when one would be enough. Very bad to track mistakes / filter manual entries in the middle of thousands. Sometimes slow. Support is one of the worst.

Outdated product. Seems like old software.

Aggressive Verkäufer, Inkasso-Abzocke und technisch unterlegen

Man zahlt Apothekenpreise, erhält ein unterdurchschnittliches Produkt und wird bei Problemen sofort mit Inkasso unter Druck gesetzt. Finger weg! Wer einen fairen Partner sucht, sollte einen Bogen um Bexio machen.

der Name vielleicht? Nach dem Telefonanruf hörte sich der Anbieter vielversprechend an und wir glaubten auf Grund von Empfehlungen von Freunden den richtigen Partner gefunden zu haben.

Cons:

Ich kann vor diesem Anbieter leider nur warnen. Meine Erfahrung mit Bexio war enttäuschend und endet nun in einer Kostenfalle. 1. Ich fühlte mich telefonisch massiv zum Kauf gedrängt. Nach Abschluss musste ich feststellen, dass die Software für meine Zwecke unzureichend ist – simple Funktionen, die bei der Konkurrenz Standard sind, fehlen hier oder sind unnötig kompliziert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt für mich absolut nicht. Aufgrund dessen habe ich die Software faktisch nie genutzt. 2. Die Abo-Falle: Leider habe ich vergessen, das Abo fristgerecht zu kündigen (mein Fehler). Als die Mail zur automatischen Verlängerung um ein weiteres Jahr (Kostenpunkt 800.-) kam, habe ich sofort reagiert, den Fall geschildert und um Stornierung gebeten, da der Service nie genutzt wurde. 3. Null Kulanz & Inkasso: Anstatt einer kundenfreundlichen Lösung zeigte sich Bexio komplett stur. Es gab null Kulanz. Schlimmer noch: Nun wurde sofort ein Inkassobüro eingeschaltet, das 1200.- fordert. Die Differenz wird als angeblicher 'Verzugsschaden' deklariert.

Anruf vom Verkäufer von Bexio hat uns überzeugt, das mit nur wenigen Einschränkungen unsere meisten Wünsche ziemlich gut realisierbar wären.

Fremdwährungen funktionieren nicht, kein Support

Angesichts fehlendem Support bei Rechnungsfehler (sic! bei einem Buchhaltungsprogramm!) sowie dem völlig veralteten UX vermute ich gravierende Fehler im Management, auf höchster Ebene.

Da will ich mich nicht dazu äussern. Die negativen Aspekte von Bexio überwiegen allfällige positive. Mir gefällt aber an Bexio an sich nichts besonders.

Cons:

Das UX der Webseite ist circa 10 Jahre veraltet. Die App (iOS) ist knapp benutzbar, aber wirklich nur knapp.

Die Lohnbuchhaltung ist gut in die kantonale Meldestruktur integriert und funktioniert zuverlässig für CHF-Zahlungen. Auch die Integration mit Ausgleichskassen ist unkompliziert. Diese Funktion lässt sich allerdings kostenfrei mit AbaSalary abbilden.

Cons:

•Kritischer Systemfehler bei der Abo-Verwaltung: Mein Abo wurde trotz gegenteiliger Anzeige im UI storniert und mein gesamter Account samt Daten gelöscht. •Kundendienst forderte 400 CHF zur Wiederherstellung obwohl der Fehler systembedingt war. •Software nicht geeignet für Fremdwährungen (z. B. GBP, USD), was manuelle Nacharbeit und Fehleranfälligkeit verursacht. •Bankverbindungen (z. B. PostFinance) oft instabil. •Live-Chat wird von Nutzern betrieben, nicht vom Support-Team – kaum hilfreiche Antworten.

Basisanwendungen sind alle enthalten, Lohnbuchhaltung ist intuitiv und gut. Mehr finde ich hier aber nocht zu sagen.

Cons:

Automatische Vertragsverlängerung ohne Vorwarnung, absichtlich komplizierter Kündigungsprozess der die Vermutung nahelegt, dass Bexio gerne Kunden über dennTisch zieht.

Good Idea, BUT...

Like I said, comparing to others out there - better GUI, support is usually good...but it´s not hard to make a better cloud service if everything is lagging behind (yes, I am talking about Swiss web/tech/software scene). But that is an opportunity well identified (but not very well filled) by Bexio and other guys. ALL IN ALL2 maybe 3 stars: it´s not for small business owners and accountants are hating it anyway (as every other system that attacks their cash-cow: simple job (like basic booking) for a hefty price and client´s ignorance/fear of accounting) I did made a detailed list of improvements for us as users to make it a real winner for all, but Bexio owner team simply dismissed it. Yeap, I offered that for free. Are there better solutions? Maybe, and maybe not. It stays my favourite, over-featured invoice maker with a good, but self-sabotaged ambition to be an accounting software, short of very few steps to become a real king and dominate the market.

- Not bad GUI - Easy graphic display for basic information needed - Can open multiple features/options in multiple tabs when working - Concerning other options on a market - Bexio is better overall - Invoicing is not bad. Invoices turn out nice when sent/printed

Cons:

After 4 years of using it, as a company owner/director and a certified IT engineer, I will list just few: - Well, first is not that much up to Bexio, but still - is: IT DOES NOT SAVE YOU MONEY - as accountants (talking about those from bexio network) usually do not care about utilizing it much and charge you whatever they feel charging as they always claim you ´did it all wrong, had to rebook, blah, blah´ just to justify their outrageous prices which always stay the same regardless of Bexio, ammount of work... - Bexio has NO LOGS (!?!) Sorry, but IF YOU PAY THE ACCOUNTANT BY THE HOUR (and give access to a sensitive data) YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE LOGS (Hellooo) to see what they are doing. When I asked for it (check this out)BEXIO told me they are forbidden by law to give me that (!?!?!?!). A huge minus there. - Importing transactions is STILL NOT WORKING WELL as it should. Lots of mistakes, doubbles, triplles and thus making it quite UNRELIAble...they are improving, but very very slow (for this fundamental feature) - Filters and filtering is simply - bad. Not easy, lacking options, not intuitive... - Search is really basic and not very effective unless you search the (almost) obvious things - Reporting (like YTD sales, profits...) simply either do not exist or are barely usable - Additional options like connecting to some online shops (etc.) is ok to see, but not very usable unless you wish to use really outdatedly designed partner shops and sending (printed) letter...etc.
