Cons:

Minor details - some functionalities could be improved in sense of logic - how they work. I feel that TolaData could be improved by dedicating space/resources for client's ideas and their experience so far.

I have described it in the Pros section. To add something more specific, this week we acknowledged that data coming from one of our Country Offices for donors Reporting is more detailed and of better quality compared to before. We believe that using Toladata is pushing Country Offices to improve their monitoring. We see that Toladata is supporting a cultural shift in our organization towards better monitoring and learning.

Pros:

Toladata is enabling our organization to systematically monitor progress of our projects, supporting Country Offices to collect data more efficiently and Headquarters to access data for various needs (such as reporting and analysis). A helpful feature is the possibility to aggregate data among different projects. This is helping the organization to analyze impact at a larger scale. We also appreciate that users can view projects they are not working directly with, increasing transparency and learning across different teams.

Cons:

1-Ideally it would be useful to aggregate only a certain type of disaggregation, and not the whole indicator. We appreciate that is now possible to visualize aggregation of disaggregated data in the Results Summary of aggregated indicators. But sometimes we only need to measure a particular disaggregation (let's say Gender). 2-As already mentioned to Toladata we would like to visualize time based results for aggregated indicators (perhaps in the Results Summary?). That would help us immensely when we select data for annual reports (which go from the 1st of January to the 31st of December). The main advantage of aggregated indicators at program level is to help us with the Annual Reports, but if we can't select a particular year then we need to go back to the project indicators every time, which is not very efficient. 3- It would be good to add targets for disaggregated data. To fulfill this need we are often adding new indicators instead of adding the disaggregation for an indicators. 4- This is a minor issue but it would be good to have a "source of verification" feature in the indicators details. We are currently using the Notes Section, and when we export data we change the name of the column to Sources of Verification.

Reasons for choosing TolaData

We found that the other Monitoring and Evaluation products were ways to expensive for us. We would have never been able to afford them (expect from Kobo toolbox which has limited features and integrates well with Toladata). We are a medium sized organization in Italy and most of our resources go to Country Offices, so we can't afford expenses that impact too much on our General and Administrative costs. Those products had some more features than Toladata as you could use them as a primary source for data collection in the field. However this is not our priority, and we find that Toladata is working fine for our needs.

The system is very transparency hence I can track and share my progress to multiple teams, donour and stakeholders

Cons:

-Lack of place where the comments can be intergrated in the report from since the report shared in PDF -No option to copy the report and paste into word document for instance -No options of copy/duplicate the project hence every time it requires to create a new project

Das Produkt ist benutzerfreundlich und ansprechend gestaltet und der Support und Austausch beim Aufsetzen für unser Unternehmen war spitze. Tauchen einmal technische Schwierigkeiten auf, werden diese schnell behoben. Der Support über die Chatfunktion im Produkt funktioniert sehr gut! Der Results-Framework-Ansatz deckt sich gut mit unserer Ziellogik. Es mussten keine Anpassungen (customisation) vorgenommen werden um unsere Bedürfnisse (Monitoring und Evaluation von Programm- , Projekt- (Impact) sowie Kooperationszielen und -aktivitäten und Prozessaktivitäten) zu erfüllen. Die Möglichkeit bei der Weiterentwicklung des Produkts Input zu geben ist toll.

Cons:

Wir vermissten zu Beginn die Möglichkeit die Listenansicht des Result Frameworks (inkl. Indikatoren) als PDF-Reports auszuspielen bzw. die Abbildung der Qualitativen Indikatoren in den Dashboards. Über eine neues Widget bei den Dashboards wird das jedoch bald möglich sein. In den Listenansichten ist toll, dass man hier mit "drag and drop" arbeiten kann, gleichzeitig muss man etwas aufpassen, dass man nicht aus Versehen etwas verschiebt.

Reasons for choosing TolaData

TolaData war, ohne Anpassungen vornehmen zu müssen, am besten auf unsere Bedürfnisse (Monitoring und Evaluation von Programm- , Projekt- (Impact) sowie Kooperationszielen und -aktivitäten und Prozessaktivitäten ) zugeschnitten. Der Austausch mit dem TolaData-Team funktionierte von Anfang an sehr gut. Sie haben bereits ein gutes Verständnis der Arbeits- und Herangehensweisen von NGOs, dass bei anderen Anbietern fehlt. Auch die Kosten waren für uns im Rahmen.

Pros:

Monitoring and Evaluation with Toladata is easy. Excellent software for project management. You can build your own dashboard with available widgets.

Cons:

Graphs are limited. There should be an option for separated Target vs achieved. It takes time to build a dashboard. Copying and pasting of widgets should be available. If the dashboard is downloaded in PDF, longer contents are hidden and can't be viewed so you need to adjust the widgets or limit the texts.

Excellent product for project management, very intuitive and easy to use. Perfect to monitor activities (both in terms of advancement/milestones and budget). Relatively cheap. Data's extractions are clear, adaptable to multiple contexts and can be shared with non users.

Cons:

Nothing much. Possibly, the integration of Excels as data's source might be easier.

Wir haben Toladata in 2 Programme eingeführt und sind sehr zufrieden damit. Die Projekt-Teams konnten sehr schnell damit starten da es sehr intuitiv funktioniert und das Coaching von Toladata hat uns noch mit der Struktur und weitere Aggregation/ Desagregation-Tipps geholfen. Da hilft uns auch bei der Planung da wir auf einem Blich wissen, welche Indikatoren gut bearbeitet sind und welche verstärkt werden sollten. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Cons:

Ehrlich gesagt, habe ich da noch nichts gefunden, was mir nicht gefällt.
