Pros:
I really liked that it is extremely user-friendly with a short learning curve. There are also video instructions to help with any questions so you don't have to wait for someone to help you.
Cons:
It is a little pricey, but if you have enough clients, it is well worth the extra cost. There are other alternatives, but if you can afford it, I don't think there is another product out there that can match it.

Reasons for choosing Procore

Procore was chosen due to its user-friendliness and ability to track multiple projects.

Pros:
Everyone associated with our projects (owners, design team, subcontractors, and our team) has easily accessible access to the project information at any time from anywhere. The system is highly customizable while still being easy to use for the end users. The ability to apply granular permissions when we need someone to have a little more access than others is something I don't see often.
Cons:
I've always wished we could create reports ourselves and they just debuted this feature. So, nothing that I can think of right now!

Reasons for switching to Procore

To be able to collaborate with owners and subcontractors in regards to RFIs, Submittals, Drawings, and Documents. The ability to do Daily Logs with an app instead of on paper.

Pros:
I like that the system generates the pay application for you once you setup the SOV one time and automatically updates the previously billed value on each pay app. This saves my AR person a lot of time during the billing process.
Cons:
What I like least is the way the system works in regard to giving people access to the project in their Procore account. I believe each person has to be invited to each project individually but I wish that if one person from our company was invited it would automatically give access to everyone else with a Procore account at our company automatically rather than having to stop and get the GC to invite more people. I also still wish there was a digital notary option for signing pay apps as well as a digital option for the signature being notarized.

Pros:
There is nothing I like about Procore. I would rather that contractors use ANY OTHER project management software. Why would anyone pay to use this awful wsite?
Cons:
So many things wrong with Procore! It makes me change my password too often - every 3 months! Why? Is someone going to steal my password and log on to do my work for me? It's not a financial site and it does not need a new password! Also, when I do manage to log on (always a huge chore) the interface is completely non-intuitive. It's very difficult to find what I need. Why pull downs with topics that make no sense? Why is it so many steps to get to newly released drawings? I cannot figure out why so many people use this site for project management! It must be way cheaper than the competition. Companies that pay for Procore please take note - using Procore for your projects makes me less likely to quote those projects!

Reasons for choosing Procore

I did not - I am forced to use it by other companies.

Pros:
The feature that i like the most in Procore is how it beautifully integrates multiple file formats in a construction project. You can view MS Project or P6 schedules, open DWG drawings and specifications. Also the RFI and submittals management is excellent. I specially like the versatility on how can you use it, as you can use it in a mobile device and upload pictures, linking them to a specific task, RFI or punch list item.
Cons:
Some users may need to customize the interface to their specific needs and workflows, and Procore is a little rigid when it comes to customization.

Reasons for switching to Procore

Comprehensive construction management tool - with a steep learning curve

3

Overall, Procore has been an essential tool in managing construction projects (contracts, in my case) more efficiently. It consolidates all aspects of project management into one platform, which reduces miscommunication and keeps everyone on the same page. The robust features and mobile access are huge benefits, although it does take some time to learn all its functions.

Pros:
Its comprehensive project management capabilities for construction. The platform centralizes communication, document management, and scheduling, making it easy to collaborate across teams. The mobile app is especially helpful for accessing real-time updates and tracking project progress on-site. Procore’s ability to manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders in one place has improved our workflow efficiency.
Cons:
What I like least is that it can be a bit overwhelming for new users. Some functions require multiple steps, and the system can feel slow at times. Additionally, the cost is higher compared to other tools, which may be a drawback for smaller projects.

Reasons for switching to Procore

Because Procore offers more specialized features for construction project management. While Monday.com was great for general task tracking, Procore’s tools for managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders are specifically designed to streamline construction workflows. Its mobile access and real-time updates are also critical for on-site work, which Monday.com didn't fully support.

Procore FAQs

  • Is Procore a CRM software?

Yes, Procore is considered a CRM for general contractors because of its features that manage and monitor client relationships throughout the lifecycle of a construction project. It can also be integrated with other CRM platforms, such as Zoho, Nutshell, Sage, and FollowUp. Besides being a CRM, Procore offers varied features that apply to non-customer activities, such as project finance management, risk management, and intra-team communication tools.

  • Can Procore track your location?

Procore’s Map dashboard can be used to set up location tracking for projects, facilitating the assignment of resources to each location. Procure's geofence feature facilitates users to track an employee’s location while they’re clocked in. It will automatically stop tracking them when they clock out from the project location.

  • Do architects use Procore?

Yes, architects and engineers use Procore to coordinate planning and programming. Because of Procore’s document storage, architects can upload and view drawings with markups, create and view punch lists, and view meeting notes. However, Procore is not designed to be a comprehensive design solution.

  • What are the limitations of Procore?

Procore has a multitude of features and is relatively easy to use. However, reports claim that their mobile app has limited offline functionality, and customization tends to be a little rigid. System limitations when choosing the option to create multiple contracts for a single project are considered a major drawback of the tool. Certain features cannot be applied individually to the multiple contracts and are instead applied to the whole project.
