into multi-factor authentication (MFA) usage, admin controls, unmanaged device access, inactive or dormant accounts, excessive permissions, and more. Duo Passport eliminates MFA fatigue by minimizing authentication requests and friction in trusted scenarios throughout the workday. After login, Duo continually evaluates trust for every access request and doesn’t prompt users again for authentication if the context remains the same. Prior to granting access to critical resources, Duo verifies users’ identities with strong MFA. Duo passwordless and single sign-on (SSO) build on MFA to verify user identity with authentication tools like biometrics, FIDO2 security keys, and push notifications from the Duo Mobile app. While establishing user trust is essential, you also need to have trust in the devices accessing applications on your network. Duo’s device trust tools deliver visibility into devices, assess their security posture, and continuously verify trust to allow or block access. - Duo Device Insight inventories every endpoint and provides data on OS, platform, browser and plugin versions, including passcode, screen lock, full disk encryption, and rooted/jailbroken status. Easily search, filter, and export a list of devices by OS, browser and plugin, and refine searches to find out who’s susceptible to the latest vulnerabilities. - Duo Desktop, a native client app for macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS, enables you to enforce corporate device health policies such as checking OS version and patch level, password and firewall status, AV agent enabled, disk encryption, and management status. - Self-remediation enables you to block non-compliant devices at the point of authentication and empower users to bring devices back into compliance without contacting IT. Automatically notify users of outdated devices with direct links to update to the latest software version. Provide a grace period before application access is blocked, or block immediately with permissions reinstated once the device has been updated. - Duo Trusted Endpoints helps you define and manage trust for every endpoint, whether managed or unmanaged, company-issued, contractor-owned, or personal Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD). Create your own inventory of trusted devices with the option to add and remove devices, include a description, set a trust expiration date, and more. Duo bundles basic support with every subscription purchase. Duo Quick Start provides 60 days of expert advice from our trusted deployment advisors. Indispensable - use it every day!

I use this daily for access to company website for updates and posting. It travels wherever I go and is lightning fast. Definitely recommend!

Pros:

Had another authentication app that went out of business and after much trial and error (and frustration) found Duo. Set up was easy and this app works perfectly every time. It's fast and easy to use. In my opinion, this app should be promoted/recommended to companies like GoDaddy when they're selling a website - this protection is so easy and simply invaluable.

Cons:

Only one slight issue when I upgraded from iPhone 6 to iPhone 8 - it was a bit confusing to register the new device. At a certain point I thought I would have to disable the app and then it just started working - so I might suggest better documentation/walk through on changing devices.

Duo Security is expensive but provides high quality and speedy results

If money was not an issue, I would choose Duo Security for our organization's MFA/2FA security solution. It is backed by Cisco and their wide array of security products.

Pros:

Duo Security will enable your organization to add MFA/2FA into your authentication process. Duo Security has a clean interface, and I was able to easily navigate the various pages. It has a nice app for mobile phones, both Apple iOS and Android. It can produce reports for compliance inquiries.

Cons:

Duo Security is an expensive product because it is designed for enterprise installations of several thousand users who need an easy integration with the highest levels of security.

It provides you with numerous authentication methods like push messages, OTP, email, phone calls, etc. You can choose a convenient method as per requirement. It is one of the most secure and reliable MFA solutions. It provides you with an additional layer of security and helps you prevent data breaches by providing strong user and device authentication. It provides you with higher availability.

Cons:

Currently, i have no dislikes about Duo Security.

A security tool which you can rely for MFA

We were asked to implement MFA for cisco anyconnect and we found DUO could do this job as cisco did not have their own solution for MFA. Implementation took less than a day and it was super easy to use. License cost is also cheap. It supports Push notification, sms and even phone call. Support is very awesome as they respond quickly.

Cons:

Easy to use, and set up. Works really well and is easy to try and explain functionality to clients.

Cons:

A necessary evil so to speak, when I'm in and out of systems that are protected via Duo it's annoying for me. That being said it's the nature of the beast.

I have used this software for 3 years and would not think about dropping it

This software was installed 3 years ago and we have had very few issues. But security and also peace of mind have increased greatly. I would not move away from this product

The added security benefits and flawless integration with office 365 and other systems. Also this is very easy to manage and troubleshoot issues

Having to reactivate when a user has a new phone but this is an easy process and I don't know if it can be avoided

It gives me assurance that my personal account information is secure. It allows me to create a password or pin each time in order to access my accounts .

Cons:

I believe the set up initially was complicated as it asked me to create a password and my password didn’t fit the criteria each time
