About ControlBoard

ControlBoard® is a real-time project scheduling and resource management software system for the Commercial Construction industry. Offered by Congistics Corporation, it takes the idea of planning using a white board and allows it to be done electronically via a set of networked PC’s, smartphone, tablets, and the cloud, across an organization. Business rules, work flow and intra/inter-department collaboration can now be accomplished as part of managing the project.

ControlBoard combines the process of planning, scheduling, dispatching and managing resources assigned to jobs. Users can create weekly or monthly look-ahead schedules without the need to use a whiteboard to plan projects. Since it is a multi-user system, schedules can be created and shared across the entire enterprise. Resources can be allocated to jobs, equipment moves can be scheduled, and tasks can be dispatched to the proper people in one integrated system.

ControlBoard was created after carefully studying the business processes of fast paced construction companies moving million dollar assets in real time.

Manpower Scheduling for Heavy Civil Contractors

[sensitive content hidden] set the bar for responsiveness to our requests. They are able to tell you quickly how much work something will take and the easy ones were usually done in a matter of hours!

Pros:

Control Board is able to configure the way the software works to produce exactly what we need out of it. Custom Programing is available but very little was needed.

Cons:

There are a lot of views, reports and pages. Sometimes it is tough to remember how to get to a certain report that you do not use often.

It was too hard to report back on the schedule info that was in Saviom especially on a team or division level.

We <3 CB!!!

We switched over to ControlBoard a few months ago, and other than the initial phase of being introduced to ControlBoard, we have faced no real difficulties integrating the program into our team. It has helped many departments in our company stay on the same page easily.

We like ControlBoard for it's efficiency. We love that it is able to streamline scheduling, payroll services, and job organization all in one program.

Cons:

Honestly, there isn't much I don't like about ControlBoard. Anytime I have questions regarding a process, our main point of contact for CB [sensitive content hidden], always has a helpful answer on how to complete the task at hand.

My ControlBoard Experience

Control Board is easy to learn, has nice features, and is a good visual. Overall, it is a great solution for our company. This is all secondary to the fantastic customer service and support provided by ControlBoard. They are always available to assist, will actively fix bugs, and adjust features custom to the end user. Highly recommend.

Any issues I experienced were resolved by [sensitive content hidden]. Most were filtering or export problems that were mainly just growing pains.

With ControlBoard, resources can be scheduled easily, and complex labor forecasts can be prepared, ensuring we run efficiently without hiccups or guessing.

Cons:

While I understand their importance, I personally am not a huge fan of having the release notes prominently displayed on the home screen. I think it would be more user-friendly if these notes were hidden or made less visible, as they can clutter the interface and distract from the main content.

Scheduling made simple

You'll be amazed with the amount of features this software has. We got it for simple scheduling and continue to be surprised with what else it can do. If you need any support they always answer the phone and solve it immediately.

Pros:

Construction Crew Scheduling is much different than construction project scheduling. Control board offers a product that really doesn't existing anywhere else in the market. It is a super powerful tool by being able to forecast labor and equipment needs you can really see your "pinch points". Self performing construction companies can only grow as big as they can manage their resources, Control Board helps to enable further growth.

Cons:

It took a lot of internet time to finally find the program. Most people who don't know what they are looking for, may never know about it.

Reasons for choosing ControlBoard

again, I was looking for a magnet board type crew scheduling software. Other programs that I test drove were more suited for a workplace where there is just 1 workplace, when you try to start adding many "job site" locations the other software in the market just doesn't hold up.

Scheduling Made Easy

Utilize it to schedule jobs and help keep track of recurring services. Coming from an inhouse spreadsheet, Controlboard is very similar, but intuitive when it comes to making changes and adjustments.

Ease of Use, and easy to access the website from a phone tablet, or pc. Scheduling is as easy as drag and drop and shows many different schedules.

Cons:

Nothing that has come up yet. Still learning and adapting to our needs. Once we fully understand the potential, there may be some things we dont like, but not yet.
